IF we decided to sell there would be every 'major' club out there in for him.

That's how **** he is, almost every club better than us would try to buy him.

    Ridiculous bollocks in this thread.

Bloody hell, you make it sound like he's been playing for nothing other than his own goodwill. He's been handsomely rewarded for it and he's been offered £100k a week to keep "carrying" us.

I don't think anyone's said he's ****, I think most see the potential but also accept that there's still a lot to do. The problem is that he wants the money paid to the finished article. More significantly is the way he's gone about his contract negotiations of late, particularly the interview he gave behind everyone's back. He started burning bridges with that so its only natural fans will defend him a lot less now and dig the knife in occasionally.

Overall I think he's got off quite likely considering how this has played out. Few extra pelters when his latest waste of opportunity has happened, but the reaction from the fanbase could be a hell of lot more vicious.
Think a large proportion are just ****ed off with him, much in the way they are about the season in general.

Very much so. He's still getting support in the stadium, though maybe a little more subdued, but after his exploits this season I think he's getting off very lightly.

When was the last time Sterling put in a really good performance for us?

West Ham at Anfield maybe? Seem to recall him playing well against West Ham as it was the game that Sakho gave Carroll a right hard time in the air.

Can't really remember to be honest. He was good for England recently.

He put in a good effort against Chelsea, probably tried too hard, I wonder why that was

He was pretty poor though, despite the effort he made.

Just had a look at Morse's MOM thread, and the last time Sterling came out on top in that was in the Bournemouth away game in the league cup. He had a run of MOM placings before that game, but they seem to have really dried up since that game other than the odd 2nd or 3rd place vote.

The West Ham game in January that I mentioned had him coming 2nd, so that appears to be the last game in which a lot of people here thought he played well.

That chance he created for Coutinho on the weekend was ****ing class. The quickness of feet...we don't have anyone like that and we won't sign anyone like that so be careful what you wish for...

Would imagine what most people would wish for Sterling to want to play for Liverpool and for Sterling to be putting in good performances more often than not.

But if it is a case that Sterling prefers the idea of playing elsewhere, then it does not matter a damn what we Liverpool supporters wish for.

Personally i think he's an absolute banker to leave & with his attitude I couldn't give a ****.. just get big money for him is all and good luck. Sick of these players with one foot out the door.
