Right, but you only find out if it's a silly position if you try it.

That's why I like Rodgers. He's always looking to keep ahead of the game. We've not got the best squad and we probably never will again, so tactical innovation is key. But it comes with risk too.

He's just not a wing back. Get him back either in the hole or up front.

It's baffling. The manager said it himself that's he can't play him out there and yet he's played him there every game since he said it! He does it to get Lallana in which I understand but to be honest I'd rather have Sterling in the middle and Lallana on the bench if he can't play wide.

Sturridge is too isolated without Sterling buzzing around him and Coutinho has less movement in front of him too.
