We're a selling club now, we have been for a long time, and we'll continue to do so. I've no doubt Sterling will be off for big money soon enough. I think he'll sign that deal before he does so though.

I wouldn't rule out him signing at the end of the season, then leaving before the transfer windows shuts in the Summer!

Got to love the media. Couple of weeks ago we apparently had no intention of meeting his 150k demands yet this week we've apparently offered him 30k more than that! What a job those lads have.

I think the way we set up under Rodgers is to the detriment of our attacking players. It involves constant pressing that doesn't suit most of the attacking players on our books. It also means that because players are having to work their arses off they are too tired when they get the ball. We have Lambert and balotelli who are strikers that will score goals. They know how to find the net. Yet in our various setups this season they have looked pretty awful at times. Sterling just doesn't take people on for us. He should be ripping the league up with his pace and strength. We rarely create clear openings despite setting up with so many attacking players. There doesn't seem to be any clear plan, its almost a case of these lads have talent, work hard, close down and then see if you can score out of nothing. Sturridge with his injury record should get out of this system to prolong his career. The constant closing down must be having a detrimental effect on his glass like body. With a never get injured magician like Suarez its great.

Without the need to go long, what is wrong with wide players taking their man on the outside, whipping in good quality crosses for the likes of Lambert to score from? I refuse to believe that Lambert has gone from a good player to complete **** overnight. He and the others need clear chances created by others. If we intend to continue as we are, we must get the right players in and bin the others.

Evans on the radio now rubbishing the 180k a week story saying we have offered 100k and Sterling wants 140k which would put him on more than Sturridge and would break the pay structure.

If he wanted to stay he'd have signed by now like Coutinho, clearly he's holding out over money. DIRTY CASH AND A GREEDY AGENT

Rodgers saisd weeks ago there would be no more contract discussions till the end of the season. These journalists are stealing a living.

Arsenal can't afford him and are in no way a bigger or more sucessful club

How much would he go for?

2 years on his contract so £40-50m? Arsenal could afford that.

They consistently qualify for the Champions League (but rarely progress far). That still means something to most players.

Then there's the London factor, it is where he's from after all.

Finally there's Wenger. I think lots of players respect him and would want to play under him.

That said if he's after big money though he'll get more elsewhere.

Walcott + cash is what some of the rags are "reporting"
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I'd just take the cash if it got to that, Walcott is far too injury prone.

tbh I'd take Walcott and cash, think it would work out a better deal for us as Sterling, like Suarez clearly doesn't want to be here.

Maybe we should just let his contract run out. He has two years left on a 30-40k contract so we can just save some wages and let him go for a tribunal when he leaves
