Thanjk you.

I really don't want to lose him, he's only 20 FFS he can become a really top player, potentially world class, but if he wont sign and wants to leave so be it, but it will a blow for us as a club.

No one is worth 100 - 150k per week, not even Ronaldo or Messi and Sterling is nowhere near either of them.
If he wants to be be a greedy cunt then **** him, sell him and get 100 million from City or whatever it is. Ibe is going to be a better player than him anyway.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

All of those players are worth over 100k pw, I'd say. Only two of them worth the 150k though.
We have to draw the line somewhere but refusing to pay anybody 100k pw on principle puts us firmly on the road to nowhere.
Personally I couldn't care less if he goes. He'll be replaced and we'll move on. If he goes to city he'll become the next Rodwell, SWP, or Sinclair. Personally I thinks he's deluded if he thinks John Henry is going to give him £150k a week to run down blind alleys. Coutinho is twice the player Sterling is but you didn't see him holding the club to ransom when he was in talks about a new contract.
Sterling was great in a diamond behind the striker. He also shows great movement when playing up top in the current formation, albeit he can't finish. But elsewhere in this new formation, well he's nowhere near a £100k a week player.
Ibe for example did a much better job at RWB. Lallana & Coutinho look better together behind the striker. And for all his great movement up top he can't finish, so Sturridge is the better option there. Crazily, in a fully fit squad, the question has to be asked whether or not he'd start.
I believe he'll stay, & I definitely want him to stay. He's a talented lad and can do a good job in numerous positions. But he is still to find himself in this new formation.
Is it generally preferable for him to sign an extension this summer when he's still got 2 years left on his current contract rather than wait another year when he's got only 1 year left?

Fine, but we'll never get anywhere thinking like that. Loads of players are paid over 100.000 a week though. We have too choose either the moral high ground or compete, I hope we choose the latter. I'd be prepared to Sterling 100-120K and Henderson something similar.

Don't think it's gossip that his agent is setting up his own agency, is it? I thought that was a confirmed thing? The rest is joining the dots, but it makes sense, why would his agent tell him to sign now when he could wait a couple of months and get his % for his new business?
