sterling might have been '**** hot' last year but thats also down to defenders having to watch their backs and cover sturridge and suarez.
now we dont have the other flair players around sterling its easy for defenders to double up on him and nullify his game.
he often seems to run into a two man dead end. if he is drawing players to him then we need to capitalise on this and make sure sterling gets his head up and releases the ball earlier.
obviously, our manager in training is well aware of this and adjusting our tactics accordingly
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Not so sure about that. Just thinking about some of the more highly rated players out there in the 19 to 21 bracket.
Names like Can, Kovacic, Geis, Laporte (for me the best 20yo in the game right now), Depay and the like. You would probably struggle to find as many off pitch stories in the media about then as Sterling has already had.
Sterling has had stuff about allegedly hitting women, various court cases, getting snapped vaping, and that interview.
Depay is probably the closest but his off pitch stuff happened at a younger age and seemed to have been sorted by the time he was a first team regular.
Even if we look at other players who in recent times were becoming big names or were already biggish names by the time they were 20 to 21, guys like Hazard, Gotze, Coutinho, Varane, Pogba, Hummels etc and they did not seem to come with the same off pitch media profile.
Even if you go and look at the list of names that have won the Golden Boy award, the names that stand out for having being stand out little ****s off the pitch are Rooney, Sterling and Balotelli.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I would say the money has to be rightOriginally posted by cream View PostBut he doesn't want to be here, not much we can do about that. If we don't sell him this summer, he'll move next summer, for a lot less money.

I would say he is worth £35m. I think it's easy to forget how good he can be just because he's not playing well at the moment. Single-handedly carried the team at times.
So for me, his market value is £35m but as we always seem to end up paying a premium for players that the clubs don't want to let go/are British lets ****ing jack it up to £50m. Lets play ****ing hardball
By all accounts, it seems the club plan to do this.

I would say at least 40, hes a full English International, hes one of the main players at one of the biggest clubs in the world, he is exciting to watch and hes only 20 ....Originally posted by Maxiedge View PostI would say he is worth £35m. I do think he will be an ever more progressive pain in the arse as the years go by unless we make serious progress and I cant really blame him or his mum .... that said .. I was spitting Blood when he gave that interview... he was about as out of order as you can be at a football club in my eyesAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

Sterling is a class act on the pitch but if he is going to be a bad apple then i would get the best price possible for him and push him out the door. Ferguson did that with Lee Sharpe and Keith Gillespie and was proved right.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostBack in the day there was a very useful player called Tony Daley. At times he was unplayable and others he was anonymous. He very much relied on pace. Fast forward 25 years.
Sterling has all the talent to be the next John Barnes but he has the attitude to be the next David Bentley. The last thing the club want is to keep a prick with ideas above his station and he infects the morale of the whole first team squad. Especially a squad that is full of young talented footballers. Making an example of Sterling might actually focus the likes of Ojo, Ibe and Wilson a whole lot more. (although if sterling gets 250k a week at man city, it might only focus them to act the prick as well!!!)
And as you rightly point out, he is a hammy injury away from being the next Michael Owen!!!

He's a first team player and if you want to improve you shouldn't sell your better players as regardless of how much cash you get, there is no guarantee that you will become a better side.
That said, if he is hell bent on leaving then i agree we should sell at the right price. But if i had the choice between selling or keeping, i'd keep. And i say that despite having slight reservations on his actual level of ability.
For me he has only ever looked the real deal when playing at the tip of a diamond. Otherwise his form is very much up and down.Forwards.......

The abuse on here towards a 20 year old who has had to almost singlehandedly try and carry us attacking wise for most of the season is embarrassing.
IF we decided to sell there would be every 'major' club out there in for him.
That's how **** he is, almost every club better than us would try to buy him.
Ridiculous bollocks in this thread.
