i would love LFC to take a stance and let him rot for the next 2 seasons.......the guy misses out on Euro2016 and by the summer 2017 everyone has forgotten about him anyway.........

I don't think it will happen because that would be LFC cutting off their face to spite their nose but it would be brilliant...... another great scenario would be him badly breaking a leg one month into his man city career

Stay classy Frank. A better scenario would be for him to move to Man City for £50million, then completely stink the place out his with form.

It's all well and good lazy media money grabbers labeling Raheem a money grabber, but truth is, we have no idea what's right and what's not, and whats worse, i don't think those writing such articles even care, as they are no better imo than the many on Twitter who claim to be ITK.

            £ootball journali$m ha$ taken a real dip $ince the Premier$hip started, Wonder why that i$!
Something does stink about it all though and we do know that Sterling is a shareholder in Ward's agency.

This just feels like petty minded foolishness to me. Wishing the ruination of a young players career seems bad enough but wishing injury on someone for essentially being young and disrespectful is just repugnant.

If he turned around, made some sort of apology and stated his commitment to LFC, we'd be in a better position than if he went off to a rival for 40m.
I'd be thrilled if he stayed.

Raheem Sterling returned to Liverpool for pre-season duty on Monday

That's either a one way road or Sterling needs a refresher to drive on the left.
                    One tit for another.

he is a very talented player but for me he isn't in the same ballpark as Gerrard or Michael Owen when they were his age. But the little prick thinks he is up there with Messi, Ronaldo and Suarez and feels that he is carrying the team. He is a greedy prick on the ball as well and his shooting is terrible (although to be fair that will probably come in the next few years)

He should be delighted playing for LFC every week.....and this whole "i'm not a money grabbing 20 year old" thing is just a script he was advised to recite by his douchebag agent.....

I'd love to see him fock up from here on in.....

I don't know that 'stink' is the right word for a professional sportsman looking after his finances, if he's worked a deal like that with his agent then that's their business, it's not imo the reason why he wants to leave LFC, if the tables were turned and we were in City's position and them ours with Sterling being their player, and him then joining us on similar terms, we'd probably be happy/indifferent about it, instead of singling out Sterling as a money grabbing player with a bad attitude, tbh, what top sought after players don't try to get the maximum wage for themselves, he's no different.

Some go further and cheat their taxes, some state that British tax is too high, and move abroad, no one singles them out as being 'money grabbers', and they already have sooooo much money too, not just starting out looking for their first big pay day as in Raheems case.

I just don't get the animosity towards him, he's leaving because of the clubs failure to consistently compete, and the fear we may be a long while doing that, and many more of our current players would do exactly the same given similar offers from the worlds wealthiest clubs.

He's barely out of his teenage years, you make it sounds like he's a 28 year old ****ed off with having achieved nothing for a decade!

He's leaving now instead of delaying the inevitable for eight years.
At least he's using his initiative.
