Ball is now in Raheem "It's not about the money" Sterling's court. If he wants a move and does not want a new deal, then simply hand in an official transfer request.

If he does not want to hand in a request then I would be happy to see him left rot in the ressie for the remainder of his contract because we will still be able to get a fee of some sort if he then leaves on a free as his age will mean it goes to tribunal.

As for Raheem, I'd sell him to the highest bidder. I don't even care if that was United if they were happy to pay £10m extra on top. My real reasoning behind this is because I don't really rate him. Not worth a penny over £30m. But if we could rinse a club for £50m, I'd laugh my head off and take the money.

I asked this a while a go but got no answer. Can anyone tell me a couple of games where he starred on the wing? I think he did well at the tip of the diamond last year, but I think Coutinhos surpassed him in that position.

Honestly, in a fully fit team in a 433 or 4231, I think there is any number of players that would be an improvement on him.

Sir Alex Ferguson has entered into the Raheem Sterling debate with words that contradict others experts in the game.

In an interview earlier this morning Sir Alex stated "Raheem is a young man with a great deal of talent and should be free to choose where he wants to play football"
These words will incense Liverpool's fans and no doubt those at the club, including Rodgers and John Henry.

"Its simply not right that a man of his age should be prevented from seeking a move to further his career, be it to Manchester United, Chelsea or Real Madrid. To say that Liverpool Football Club is the right place for his development is nonsense, there are training facilities at those clubs the far exceed those at Liverpool and he will be surrounded by World class talent".

"I never once stood in the way of a young player wanting a move away during my time at United", claimed the former Manager.

Meanwhile Sterling's agent Aidy Ward has distanced himself from comments he supposedly made in the London Evening Standard. In a call to Ward who is currently on holiday with his family in Treco Bay, Porthcawl, the agent claimed "I simply did not make those statements, they are untrue"

If a player hands in a transfer request, can the selling club refuse it or are there human rights laws about this in the EU?

Raheem and his agent have acted badly.

But I don't see why we would put him in the reserves. He's not happy at the club and wants to leave. It's happened before and it'll happen again. Big deal. I know it's a circus in the press what with PR wars, but remove all the BS and it's just an unhappy Player.

If a club offers a fair value and he puts in a transfer request then lets get rid.

UK is supposedly binning off the Human Rights Act so I wouldn't be too worried about that.

Nice. More ******s in this mix the better.

I'd cum all over the people sitting near me if some fools offered 50m ! I wouldn't even bother continuing to entertain bids.
                    50m ! ****ing Sold !!

Realistically, it'll be a lot less than that, if at all. Business sense aside, I'd love to make an example of him and his agent.

Then why all the bs from him and his agent? If he wants out then hand in the transfer request.

No reason at all for him to allow it to drag out, unless of course he wants to confirm that his not about the money schtick was more BS from him and that he is hanging in to try and get his loyalty pay out as well as a move.

As for putting him in the reserves. Well he does not want to play for Liverpool, so if he does not wish to hand in a transfer request then I would grant him his wish of not wanting to play for the club and keep him away from the first team squad altogether. He might be a bit quicker with his transfer request then,
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
