I think 50m is the tipping point where it's worth accepting. Especially if he doesn't want to be here.

I don't hold any bitterness towards him and I do want him here, but at that price I'm convinced.

He's young and has been poorly advised, which he must realise. If we manage to get 50 million for him it's too much to turn down... We should get a sell on percentage on top as well though, just in case.

I'd rather we sold him to City than one of our competitors for top four (Arsenal, United and Spurs). City will be buying a good player, but he won't be making them significantly stronger than they already are. If he can get back to playing well and keep his gob shut then he'll become a big hit with City supporters.

That article does not say he has flown back early.

Whoever spunks £50m on this kid is going to get a very very good player for now and for the future. I'm disappointed that he's going.
I think he lacks intelligence on and off the pitch to be a top tier player

We'll find out in a few years. I think he's just learning and his decision-making and goalscoring will develop, he'll be a top player when he's 23/24.

The problem might be that he won't get the same opportunities to develop at a club like City.

I believe he'll be a regular starter for them on the right. He'll take Navas' place.

£50m is a great price, in fact its ridiculous at this stage really.

He's good now but just good, its not like losing Suarez because the team won't be missing a world class player or even a match winner if we're honest. He could and probably will go on to became a top player but at the moment we need investment and getting £50m in now after all the media baggage I think would be a fantastic deal for us.

£50m is a good price. He might not be world class at the moment, but when he's been at his best (before he started acting like a prick) he was our best attacking player. Coutinho is brilliant, but I'd put Sterling slightly ahead of him when both are on top form. He has developed so much during the past two seasons, from being predictable to becoming very unpredictable and quite brilliant at times. He's quick and strong and has plenty of tricks. I'm going to stop it now, quite fed up at the prospect of him leaving. If he emerges into a top player I'd much prefer it if he did that here. He's clearly not happy and it seems inevitable he will be going now anyway.

I think he's a player who's knees are going to go by the age of 28 (because his game relies on a combination of pace and twisting) and who's mind is never going to be on it. Like Lec says; no game intelligence, so nothing to rely once his fitness starts to deteriorate - and that's if his lack of game intelligence doesn't become a hindrance before then. I think £50m for him is a heist. The only thing I don't like about this deal is the fact that we're bound to waste it - I'd almost prefer it if we spent it on expanding another of the stands.
                            Really?

He'll be in the news again making interviews about why he believes hes good enough to start after being mainly a sub for most of the season. Take your circus elsewhere.

Sad times, young player with promise joins Lfc, gets looked after and learns to play in the big league, gets greedy and shows total disrespect for the club asking to leave as he thinks he's too good for Lfc

Let him go , at any price, he's part of the disease that's destroying this wonderful game.
