The thing is Dan, our confidence took one hell of a beating those last few months, culminating in that disaster at Stoke. I think at this stage its more about regaining some of that and wins regardless of opponents is vitally important. Obviously we have gone for the money. But I think short term, getting wins and easing the new boys in is better than playing a difficult team where we possibly get spanked.

I get that alright mate, it's good to have a solid pre season in terms of results & allows you to be more flexible with team selection and still get results.

I just hope that it's not a shock to the system when the tough games come up thick and fast.
