Well Anelka missed one just last week, Torres hasnt bothered to attempt one in 5 years. Players can improve at taking penalties, see our captain but he obviously didnt have the balls to try it again.

He attempted one in that pre-season for us and missed that too. Fairly safe to assume he takes them in training and he's just no good at them. Nothing wrong with that. He's **** at penalties so doesn't take them, I don't see why it's such a big deal. Far better that than selfishly keep taking them and missing like Owen did so often.

I was titting about on Youtube yesterday and stumbled across "Torres vs Terry". Clicked on it for some reason and it was the game from Anfield in Torres' first season where he scored. Was a clip of the moment he had words with Terry and looked down his nose at him.

Felt really sad for about 20 minutes after.

Dunno. I've seen pictures of Torres in our colours since he left, I've seen him play for Chelsea obviously but I think this was the first time I'd actually played a video of him back as an LFC player.

Like Shaggy said, he was the perfect number nine then. Best striker in the world. Pre-whinge, pre-injury problems. My memories of him now are from the last season or so where he just wasn't interested.
