The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If true and he is available then I would take him back.

A true squad strikeforce of Suarez, Carroll, Torres and Kuyt or a younger striker if you want Kuyt to play on the right, sounds pretty damn good to me.

I reckon it's going to happen guys I really do.

I think he will move on the last day of the transfer window in exactly the same fashion that he left us.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

I dunno. I more level-headed than to reach that conclusion by virtue of the way he left us, but I'm not sure he was there long enough. Dunno, I guess it depends on your definition of a legend - he'd have been one with a few more years service but I don't think he's there.

Funnily enough I was walking back from lunch a moment ago and his autobiography was in the window of our local Cancer Research shop. £2.25. Had to get it.

If we could get half of that back from him, it'd be a no brainer but i dont see it. Look at him in the earlier days, how happy he looked, his body language etc. He's now a shadow of that player.

It's weird, but it seems like the season we went to Standard Chartered, that seems to be the point from which he looks a different player, funnily enough when he went to brown hair too

Even at that point when he was scoring, he didnt look like the same happy guy who was doing the business for us a year or two prior. It's a real shame, looking at how incredible he was and where that could've taken him - and now how crap he's become. But he has.

A lot of people have said it but I've never seen such a rapid decline (I'd still take him back but there's no doubt he's not *that* player anymore) or fall from grace. I still find it.....just amazing. Absolutely amazing.

Fernando Torres will never, ever, be sold for £10M

It's funny that people scream 'Yea I'd happily have Tevez at the club, just what we need', yet if it were to come to Torres 'He's a cunt, don't want him back ever!!!'.

I'd have Torres back any day of the week, sometimes in life one needs to acknowledge mistakes, learn from them and move on from there. We resigned Bellamy. We resigned Aurelio. We resigned Rush. We might have resigned Owen. We can resign Torres.

Sometimes there are higher relationships at work, which we mere mortals have little influence over. It's a given he'd start banging them in like **** for us, taking pressure off Suarez who in turn would start smashing them in like **** for us. You can guarantee that, two genii at work, it'd be spell-binding. I think it would even benefit Carroll. It'd benefit everyone. And the fans would start worshipping him when he repays the faith by smashing in unbelievable volleys from far outside the D.

Just watched the vid. Bloody hell I've got a short memory...I'd forgotten what a sublime player he was.

Leaving the way he did still hurts. But now we've got Louis!

There's no way he'd come back - even if he got the chance.

that nike advert made me sad

He was ****ing awesome for us, left in a cunty way but everyone makes mistakes and it seems by his demeanour he knows he made a big mistake.

Maybe he'd never be what he once was but if you could get half of the old Torres back he'd be worth the punt

Torres was the best striker in the world in 07-09. There was nothing like him. His 07-08 season was one of the greatest individual seasons I've ever seen.

He was absolutely incredible. That's why I was so surprised when so many people voted for Suarez in the poll that we had recently. Torres was something else.

I voted Suarez out of emotion. I was wrong. Messi is the only player I would take over 07-08 Torres.

Even if he's half as good as he used to be, Torres WITH Suarez would burn this league to ashes.
