I agree with Rich. The obvious / inevitable thing to happen is for Torres to go back to Atleti in a deal where Falcao moves to Chelsea.

For Chelsea, I think it will go down as the worst transfer in there history, i would be surprised if they get 15m in a year or 2. For us Aquiliani will have cost us more than Caroll.Originally posted by dom9 View PostThe Torres and Carroll transfers must surely be the biggest cock up in transfer history. Atrocious business all round. Unless you're Newcastle obviously._____________________________________

Maybe he doesn't want to burn his bridges with us, a move back to Madrid would half his salary, a move back to us would not.Originally posted by Norbert Dentressangle View PostPeople instinctively think that the truth he's alluding to about the move is something to do with Liverpool but if so then he'd have no reason not to dish the dirt now. I'm guessing that the reason he's keeping schtum is that it's not going to be too complimentary about ChelseaThose that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

we would be mugs to take him back just because he would like it, or he has an emotional bond with us
if he isnt going to be a goal scorer with the chavs then why would we take an expensive punt [fee/wages] that he might come out of his depression and return to former glory.
its too late for him and LFC. he just needs to return to spain
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Yeah I agree, I can't see Atletico being able to match his Chelsea wages, maybe a loan move though. I reckon he wil be gone in January window, can't see Chelsea not buying another striker in January.Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostIf you believe Balague, then Torres won't be returning to Atletico Madrid anytime soon, and not in a swap deal with Falcao (On Revista two weeks ago).

He's been getting better and better in the PL. He's now had a few games where he's looked close to his previous best. May have lost a bit of pace but he's scoring and making space for the attacking players behind him. I think he'll be one of the best performers by the end of the season (unless he gets injured).Originally posted by dom9 View PostBut can he step up?"The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Has anyone else noticed how he's really changed his game? He doesn't look like a lethal finisher anymore, He holds the ball up and plays others in.
His hold up play is excellent too, he looks like he's put a lot of muscle on since he left us. I think that could be part of the reason why he has been injury free. The times they are a changin'.

Funny never thought of that, though the reason is probably more to do with the fact that players rarely get injured walking about and scratching themselves.Originally posted by Lee View PostMost annoying thing about this is the ****er hasn't been injured since moving to Chelsea.
If he could've been like that for for us then we'd have won the PL in 2009.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.
Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

And although he doesn't score anywhere near the amount that he used to, I think he had something like 24 assists in all competitions last year so he's not as **** as people think. He's just a different player to what he was four years ago, he's had to change his game.

of all the players who have left us the only 2 id take back are xabi and torres. Xabi is my favourite play of the recent years (a la fowler before him) and torres, well he may be a judas girly haired greeting faced moaning cunt but i still have this horrible love for him to be a lfc player againPeople who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Arbeloa and Mascherano too. They're top class players - there's a reason they're regulars for the two strongest clubs in world football.Originally posted by the rev leeroy brown View Postof all the players who have left us the only 2 id take back are xabi and torres.
