Be very happy if we got Kovacic (and a bit of me thinks something will happen there) could have a great, powerful middle but a very 'streaky' attack unfortunately.

(btw I can't believe having over 100 posts makes me an Evans when Sou is far more important in Liverpools history!)

I don't for a second think that we'd get a free run at Lacazette, but a top drawer player of that ilk that suits the way we play plus Kovacic, and I'm not as suicidal about next season as I might have been

Supplement those 2 with a decent right back, Ings and Milner on 'frees' and I'd consider that a decent window. Striker is hugely important though, it'll make or break both the next season and Rodgers future (if he survives his meeting) IMO

Inter haven't denied we've made 2 bids for him, so unless someone else snaps him up, it looks like we'll get him. Very pleased with that, albeit given the limited amount of Italian football I've seen this season
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

They have hardly spent (net spend) either, just sufficient and that's after harvesting our biggest asset, with little to no football knowledge at executive level. (Don't get me started on the Harley pantomime dame).

When have you ever seen a statue of a committee? Never coz committees just don't work, they project mediocrity.

BR is also amateur along with his team of amateurs, learning on the job..really...when you are paid big bucks....

The character of the man too...taken to court by his ex missus of 24 years for fair alimony....

The vanity, the endless blarney...sick of it ....

It seems that the only winning FSG want to do is in improving the value of LFC for resale...

Fine get on with it and go....just choose your suiters better than the last lot...
            Amen bro.

yeah a top quality striker is an absolute must. If we spend that kind of money on Benteke.. there will be a meltdown on here!

                Milner is a good player.

Thing is we don't really need good players we need game changers and he isn't one and it would be unfair to expect him to be one, he's a steady eddy who performs in big games.

He's an cog in a machine but when you're machine is rusty and failing he will probably go unnoticed unless we improve the overall quality of the team.

What Milner does best is allow the quality players ahead of him to shine because he grafts all day long and plays both simple and at time intricate passes around the area.

Similar to Ings I think the success of this signing is based on the rest of the window, if we bring in quality around and a head of him he'll look a very astute piece of business, if we don't he'll look a hard worker who lacks the quality to win games.

Milner is a good player and I think not too dissimilar to Hendo. We miss Hendo when he doesn't play so it's a very good signing. On a free you can't say no.

That said, both will be first team regulars and you end up with a team looking short on creativity. Hendo & Milner should be solitary unsung heroes in a classy team. You have too many players like that though and it starts looking very thin on quality.

He did a bladdy good job of changing the game against us last season.

But I suppose it only counts if they pirouette whilst doing keepy uppies.

That's the ****ing problem, Milner will be our main man. As you say, his best role is the unsung hero, we shouldn't try to make him the star man, that's what he'll never be.

Coutinho will remain the star. I just wonder if that's enough.

Turned the City game against us, scored the winner against Bayern Munich and has come on regularly to add stronger legs to enable Silva and Aguero to win matches.

I think as a team player, he'll be great. He's not Messi or Ronaldo and it's ridiculous for anyone to think he'll be a game changer. He allows our game changers to do their thing (Lallana, Markovic, Coutinho, Sterling and Ibe)
                              Was muß, das muß.
