That is an interesting one, although I guess you could maybe correlate it with both his best years physically as a footballer and his standard position on the pitch, but yeah Rafa did utilise him particularly well but they definitely never seemed close. Oddly he gets on pretty well with Hodgson iirc too,Originally posted by Robbie-9-Fowler View PostMy mistake. 3 seasons he broke 20 in total.
Interestingly when looking into his goal scoring stats, he broke double figures every season under Rafa (total), a manager I don't thing he got on with or gives too much credit.
Out of Gerrard's 186 Liverpool goals only 82 came outside of Rafa's reign.
Because he probably will. Doesn't make us obligated to start him every single game or not drop him if he's ****, but if he holds up his end of the bargain with what else we have now I think he'll clearly been on the teamsheet a lot more times than not.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostHe's probably been told he'll play.
Oi who changed the filter? Or did I do it because it was a bit too rude? Though it is hard to be too rude in this case.Originally posted by redmike65 View Post**** me, I just read that **** Jammy Kagawa over on Liverpool Kopyourselfon.
Has just spent the day writing up a clickbait based on the notion that Milner has been bought in as a creative AM.
Every single thing he ever put on that site has been complete ****e and a cynical manipulation of traffic. He's Dunk in a different age, without the fake book & s*n hat. There's a ton of great lfc sites out there to visit, **** that site don't give him the clicks & attention because that's all he wants.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

Ha! I did wonder if you filtered the name as I did a search. I'm on his blacklist ever since I accused him of being a clickbait whore or words to that effect. I occasionally have a look just to see what cobblers he has come up with.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostOi who changed the filter? Or did I do it because it was a bit too rude? This. Just be happy that we've signed some quality experience that addresses an issue in midfield. The transfer window has quite a way to go so let's see who we sign next.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostReally good signing. I'd say we need other positions more than where he will play, but we'd have been fools not to bring him in. It's a £15m signing for nothing. I know he's on a high wage, but he'd have been on a high wage even if we had to pay a fee.Was muß, das muß.

If we sold him next summer we'd get a fee. That would likely offset his wages and the signing on fee, but it's essentially a free gamble. Doesn't strike me as the type who'd sit on his contract and be happy not to play.Originally posted by McDermotX View PostDon't forget the signing on fee though..... there's no such thing as a free lunch, and more crucially for FSG doubters, no money to be made back.Forwards.......

If that happened, I'd be sacking the manager, the TC, and FSG.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostIf we sold him next summer we'd get a fee. Besides, he'll be topping 30 come the turn of the year, and who would not only pay us a fee large enough to negate cancelling the massive contract we'll be handing him, plus probably still being wrapped up in balancing his signing-on fee even though he'd no longer be with us.........and who'd also be willing to keep him the style he'll become accustomed to in order to take him off our hands (a 30yr old busting 150k a week).
He's gonna be here for a while alright for better or worse*.
