If that happened, I'd be sacking the manager, the TC, and FSG.

Besides, he'll be topping 30 come the turn of the year, and who would not only pay us a fee large enough to negate cancelling the massive contract we'll be handing him, plus probably still being wrapped up in balancing his signing-on fee even though he'd no longer be with us.........and who'd also be willing to keep him the style he'll become accustomed to in order to take him off our hands (a 30yr old busting 150k a week).

He's gonna be here for a while alright for better or worse*.

Have to say, imo we would easily cover our losses if he went next season. This isn't a Joe Cole scenario which has everyone worried. He's a long way from being shot. Tbh, I don't think there is any chance of him not being a success.

I think he is a very good player and is the type of character we need. Of course his signing alone won't take us to the next level, but if the signings of the likes of Milner, Ings & Origi are added too with a quality striker, good RB, decent back up keeper then I'd call that a decent window. Add a top DM and I'd be delighted.

We have one of those in Brad Jones. In fact Jones is probably worse as at least Wright has played a number of seasons as a first teamer at a high level, Jones on the other hand has never played even one full season at any level as the first team keeper.

Baffles me to this day how/why we paid almost two and a half million for him.
