I think he can very important in team like Klopp is building. Him, Can and Henderson look like they'll be able to run most teams to the ground as we get better. I'll try to refrain from judging the players while they are adjusting to a new approach.

I'm still confident that he'll more than prove his worth at LFC. He's too good a player not too.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

I have to admit I haven't been overly impressed by his contributions so far but early days yet
He'll always be more of a cog than a real driving force but I think he'll end up being an important part of the team with the likes of Firminho & Coutinho around himWhat do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

Thought someone put up the average distance stats for Henderson recently and they were not outstanding or unusually high.
Think it was someone like Lallana who was near the top for us in terms of distance ran per 90 minutes played and that Henderson was somewhere around the 10km to 10.5km mark.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Exactly. At times I think we are guilty of thinking that our guys are the hardest working, longest running uber pressing mofos in the game, whereas the reality is that a number of teams have players that can match and surpass what our guys have being doing so far this season and certainly last season.I don't hate people. Far from it mate - we haven't been uber pressing mofos enough lately under BR & that's been one of our biggest problemsOriginally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostExactly. I don't think he was saying we were doing it, just that we seem to have this presumption that we potentially have the only midfielders in the league that can do this.Originally posted by Yozza View PostFar from it mate - we haven't been uber pressing mofos enough lately under BR & that's been one of our biggest problems

Not so much that we have the only midfielders doing it but rather the presumption that our midfielders are far better at it than those at other teams.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I think that's in a large part to due the former manager's approach, I think I remember that when Jordan was at Sunderland he posted very high figures, and in our good season as well.Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostThought someone put up the average distance stats for Henderson recently and they were not outstanding or unusually high.

In 2014 Henderson was fourth and Lallana fifth in terms of ground covered.Last edited by The_weatherman; 20-10-15, 12:55 PM.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Yeah but there has been a full season and a bit since then, and many of us (myself included at times) seem to have bought into us being something special on that front when in fact the past year and a bit has shown that we are not stand outs in that department - not on a regular basis anyway.I don't hate people. I think it showes that Jordan and Lallana, and Milner of course are well capable of playing a physically demanding game, OK Lallana comes off after 70 mins but that's fine by me. But you are probably right in that most midfielders in the league are capable of this nowadays, depends mostly on how their managers setup the teams. My point was no-less that the former manager had Henderson playing high octane pressing one season and then he just pulled him back.Originally posted by Jaco_Pastorious View PostYeah but there has been a full season and a bit since then, and many of us (myself included at times) seem to have bought into us being something special on that front when in fact the past year and a bit has shown that we are not stand outs in that department - not on a regular basis anyway.* The above is posted in my opinion.
