Read today that he had the second most interceptions of anyone at the club. Agger being number one. Not too bad, Interceptions set up attacks in the end. I guess Lucas would have been higher had he stayed fit. He seems to be a Rodgers type of player.
        *Except Michael, who died.

Not sure you can really compare them as they play in different positions but pound for pound Gylfi would be much better buy than Henderson.

Pound for pound I agree. But I do think Henderson is going to blossom into a top (top) player.

Aye. I think he has everything in his game to be a very good player.

Needs to make a move to a big club to continue his development.

never mind pound for pound. its more a point of who offers more to the team. now.

lets hope so, but not all "prospects" deliver the goods.

Sigurdsson created a chance every 29.98 mins and only 6 players did that better last year in PL and he scored a goal every 214 mins and only 25 players (incl strikers) outscored him last year

Hardly a risk for the fee of 7m.

Gylfi Sigurdson is a very uninspiring signing given our recent history of buying mid table players with 6 months decent football behind them. I don't doubt he showed glimpses of talent but he is hardly a youngster in real footballing terms and up till his move to Swansea he had hardly set the world alight hence hoffenheim willing to let him go. He looks like another Charlie Adam type - decent enough but not the level of player who will improve our 8th place situation.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

agree about siggy. he already is good for swansea, he will be good for us. i was referring more to the keepy uppy king.
yes, we all want him to be good, but the jury is still out. yes, he has age/time on his side, but not at the cost of limiting our team...

i would honestly put him out on loan until he is fulfilling his "potential"

                        Oh.

At this point I'm in Matt's camp on him.

Perhaps time will prove he was a good buy but so far for me he's been a disappointment

Edit: IMO mentality is definitely not the only thing Danny, he has an a long long way to go football wise even taking mentality out of the equation, and mentality is a massive thing in any top level sport!!

Does he have the mentality to make it at the top level? Time will tell, one things for sure the lad needs work. I don't think Hendo is ****, i just don't think he is good enough to being in the LFC starting 11. He has time on his side, He was showed a lot of faith by Kenny same as Downing, which didn't work out to well & i suppose it's up to Henderson to impress Rogers.

We need to hit the ground running as Didi said, we can't afford any passengers with our fixture list.

I believe Hendo will flourish under Brendan Rodgers

He definitely won't be played out of position.

Hopefully not being in the team all the time will benefit him. Less pressure.

                                +1.

I think he has all the attributes - vision, quickness of feet, movement and passing ability (maybe not so much in range) - to be a success for us, I'm sure of it.

He just needs to add a bit of tenacity; he does well 'nicking' the ball from players, but he has to be stronger if he's going to be played more central.

                                He has a great future.
