I think theres an agenda against all of kennys signings. Adam and carroll have gone henderson and coates dont play enough but downing and enrique are justifiably benched.

i defy anyone to watch this compilation and say he didnt play well.

for me gerrard and shelvey cant play in the same team because they will leave our midfield too exposed to counters. Neither has the discipline to track back and do the dirty work that has to be done. Both want to push on and get goals from midfield. imo you cant play that way against such good counter attacking sides like utd. Even arsenal did us on the counter and they themselves are always open to it.

Henderson allen and gerrard should be the starting trio against utd. Shelvey can then come on later for gerrard if we need him to but henderson and allen have to start with henderson and allen sat together with gerrard off suarez, and sterling and downing either side.

keep things tight and competitive against carrick, scholes and co.

I'm not anti-Hendo by any means, but start him ahead of who?

shelvey for now who himself is gerrards long term replacment. Look our top three midfield picks are lucas allen and gerrard when everyones fit. Lucas unfortunately is injured but who's a better like for like replacement for him henderson or shelvey.

its got to be hendo as he;s the more defensive minded / solid of the two.

A lot of short memories around here it seems, Jordan's overall form last season was among the worst I've ever seen from a Liverpool player and before people use the out of position excuse he got plenty of opportunities last season to play in the middle and without exception was truly, utterly ****e, a totally ineffective, non entity.

I'm not writing Jordan off btw because I think that he could potentially one day be a respectable bench warmer but the amount of excitement on here after a good showing against the formiddable Young Boys is farcical.

Based on what exactly ? He's been here 16 months and he's put in 2 good performances IMO, one was as a right back against Blackburn and the other was on Thursday. Aside from that he's been at best average and at worst atrocious. For 16 million pounds I generally expect more.

He is 22 and his confidence has gone, technically he has the attributes to work in Rodgers system.
