Jordan Henderson has played 53 games for Liverpool..... & started 45 of them, i am shocked he has played that much & genuinely just forgot he played that much!!! The fact that City & Chelsea game are only ones mentioned is a statement in itself.

When you start 45 games for LFC and pretty much disappear in most of them, that has an effect on the team, he is a passenger. Henderson & Downing's constant inclusion last season were a part of the reason we did so bad.

Rogers trying to offload him was no surprise at all.
And they didn't even play anywhere near the number of games Hendo played.

It's easy to cherry pick Hendo's two good performances which weren't even good anyway! Yes he scored against Chelsea but what else did he do in that game? His only decent performance was against Blackburn away, when we were down to 10 men. He ended up playing right back in that game.

I'm not going to get into all this - he's clearly had more than 2-3 good games.

Point I wanted to make was he could make a good right back IMO. He was properly outstanding there at Blackburn. When he was coming on yesterday I never in my worst nightmares thought Sterling would get the hook, so I figured it must've been Kelly coming off with Henderson going to RB.

I know there's Wisdom and Flanagan waiting in the wings but I'd like to see him tried there. He runs all day so would be ideal for charging up and down that side, he's got a good cross on him and he can keep the ball.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

For what we paid for him he was.

Allen cost us less than Henderson and he was MOTM in almost every game he played so far.

Henderson showed very little last year given the number of playing opportunities.

Allen's done better because Allen's suited to the CM/CDM role. Henderson is more suited to the CM/box to box role. Why would it matter if Allen's done more in 4 games in his preferred position in a tactical set up he's familiar with for the last 3 yrs working under the same boss?

Henderson has shown enough in his stay here that he has all the abilities to make it as a player for us. Be it a squad player or a starter when someone's injured. Just because he isn't your type of player, pleas don't rub it on us saying he's gash when he clearly isn't.
He really wasn't in the slightest, and unlike Henderson, Lucas had excellent stats to back up the nonsense that was spouted at him, Henderson are below average which is the issue.

We paid £16m for him plus add-ons.

People saying Henderson is as bad as Poulsen

Give it a rest. He's just another ****ing whipping boy, can't do right for doing wrong. Praise him for having a good game and its against 'some **** team'

He was played out of position all last season for ****s sake, and still had some decent games. Same people are ****ing getting on Borini's back now. He's not ****ing Messi.

I think you'll find it was 16m and with add ons can be as high as 18m or 20m according to some sources.

The bottom line is that he wasn't worth that money and if it was up to Ayre we almost sold him at significant loss, which may or may not still happen.

The cost isn't his fault. Neither is the fact that a central midfielder spent most of last season playing wide right.

If Henderson had cost us, say, £8M and wasn't English - people would be a LOT more forgiving when he has a bad game. He's had some bad games, being taken off at half time for example generally isn't a sign that you've had a stormer, but he makes one mistake and it's blown out of all proportion (as usual) and he's being compared to Poulsen?! That's absolutely ridiculous.

His best games have come when he plays through the middle and when Gerrard doesn't play.
