    Agreed.

It would be an interesting stat to know what % of our goals have come from our main strikers and how that compares with other teams if anyone can be bothered finding out leading smiley:

      From Wikipedia:

      Total PL Goals: 46
      Strikers: 29 (Suarez 20, Sturridge 9)
      Midfielders: 10 (Sterling 3, Gerrard 3, Coutinho 2, Henderson 1, Moses 1)
      Defenders: 5 (Skrtel 2, Agger 1, Sakho 1, Flanagan 1)
      Own Goals: 2

      Which breaks down as:
      Strikers: 63.0%
      Midfielders: 21.7%
      Defenders: 10.9%
      Own Goals 4.4%
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Jordan Henderson has revealed how sessions with a top sports psychologist rescued him from becoming a Kop flop.

The Liverpool midfielder looked to be on his way out of Anfield a year ago, until he turned to Dr Steve Peters.

Peters is the shrink who helped the GB cycling team’s Olympic gold rush and has been instrumental in enabling snooker champ Ronnie O’Sullivan to conquer mental demons.

Henderson turned to him for help when Peters was brought in as a psychiatrist consultant by Brendan Rodgers.

And, 12 months on, the England midfielder is justifying his £17million price-tag with top performances.

“I’ve been speaking to Steve for exactly a year now and have felt massive benefits from it,” said Henderson.

“I feel really strong mentally. It has 100 per cent helped me, but again it’s another aspect you’ve got to keep working on, to improve and get stronger.

“It’s secondary to the physical attributes, but I think most people would agree that what you take on the pitch in your head is quite critical.”

Henderson added: “It was definitely a shock when I first came to the club because the expectations were so high. Dealing with the pressure was the hardest thing when I first came.

“But you adapt to that. I think my overall game is improving, but I’m still a long way from where I want to get to.”

As well as stepping up to the plate on the pitch, Henderson has taken on a massive responsibility off it – thanks to the arrival of his daughter Elexa.

Henderson said: “Switching off has always been the difficult part for me. My little girl helps with that and has probably changed my life.”

It's really paying dividends so hats off to Rodgers for appointing Peters.

                      Especially Suarez. Lol.

Seriously though, there's been a massive improvement in his mentality this season, wouldn't surprise me if he is.

Could be they've been given instructions on not to slide in perhaps and not to 'munch' people. See I love a good hard sliding challenge, think it fires your team mates up as well as the crowd.
As Jamie Carragher says, a good defensive minded player never needs to make sliding tackles because they're usually in the correct position and Henderson seems pretty good at breaking up the play to me. Still room for improvement obviously but that will come with time, this is his first season playing consistently in his favoured position.

It was and with all add-ons based on performance and number of games it could go up to £16m

                          Henderson: 1

That's the part of the problem which BR was very aware and he wanted HM for that very reason but it didn't work out.

I've bought a book from that Dr Steve Peters guy called the 'Chimp Paradox', only started reading it.

It talks about how to improve your self confidence in all situations and how to focus on things and your mentality, taking a bit of getting used to like.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Yeah, reading is difficult. Stick with it though ... it gets easier.
