Really hope that come the end of the season I end up going "what the hell was I thinking when I thought this guy would be easy to replace?"
He had that absolute mare of a game v (was it) Burton, where I finally thought 'yeah, he's just not good enough' and he's been absolutely brilliant since. Really controlling midfield. He and Wijnaldum provide the base for all of the attacking guys to wreck havoc. It's very effective.

Burnley game, he was awful, he seemed like he had the flu or something. He's been excellent since.

I suspect that his lack of that will help him adapt to become a 'genuine' holding player if that is how Klopp sees him long term. It was always an issue with Gerrard, trying to get him to accept tactically disciplined roles was hard. It was interesting to see how Curtis Davies picked out Henderson + the CBs as the stable core of the team after the Hull game.

That would be a bit of a stretch on this occasion, even for me.

Rather he didn't have the captaincy permanently with the extra weight and commitments. Literally no other stand out choice.

Stats for Henderson looks pretty decent.

                                Those stats are fantastic!

Interesting how he has 3 times as many tackles as Dier - thought he was considered to be one of the best DM's in the league?
