Could very well be, that way he shouldn't be dragged to the byline all the time.

I'd play Lovren in the the centre while Skrtel is suspended. Any clangers are less likely to result in goals.

Not that I'm encouraging violence but for our supposed hardman its about time he started showing he was one.

fookin hell. Back to his old clumsy ways I see. It's a funny photo but in reality that could be a red and game over for the team he's playing for. Also, the other guy could need about 12 stitches across his cheek.

I have to say, he's played well second half of the season but I'm still not convinced he's the right man for the seasons coming up. If you can get solid at the back, it just lays such a strong foundation for the attack and, for me, he's just short of being that solid, trustworthy centre back.

Skrtel in a 3 at the back has been superb I'm not sure if we move back to a flat back 4 he's the right man for the job though.

i dont think the club have even approached him with a new contract to be honest..... which is something they should do. He is 30 now - if it was me then I would give him a 3 year deal with the option of another season.....
