For me it is difficult to say whether it is intentional or not, the Gerrard one is clear cut as are many others, but looking at that again he is running through and doesn't break stride or jump in with any force. If there is intent there he disguises it well. Could he have stopped or prevented it? - I don't know But given the fact that the FA have charged him he will almost certainly be found guilty. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The more you look at it, the more you think he meant it. His reaction afterwards, looking for a fight, pretty much proved it. Idiot.Originally posted by Lecter View PostPointless contesting that

I think his reactions afterwards certainly did not help his case. Normally when a player catches someone like that they are over to check on the player and offer a conciliatory gesture.
When I first saw it in real time I thought he tried to go in hard as a retaliation for what Rooney did to Mignolet and that he did not make too much contact. My reason for thinking there was not a lot of contact was based on how De Gea hopped up quickly to argue before falling down to roll around.
Looking at it again, it looks pretty bad slowed down, but at normal speed it could look like he charged in and mistimed his jump. What is putting some doubt in my mind is Skrtel's reaction afterwards.
If 100% accidental then I would have expected some sort of "sorry mate" type gesture, but he did nothing of the sort and his reaction to the contact looks even worse than the "who me?" type reaction Gerrard made after his stamp.
And to make up a hat trick of suspect moments, I think Rooney catching Mignolet was no accident either.
Am curious though to see if the FA charge Bentaleb for his little attempt at a bitch slap on Ulloa. You would have to think that if the ref saw it it would have been a red.Last edited by Doc_Piptorious; 24-03-15, 12:46 PM.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

it's far from a cut and dry stamp..... but knowing our luck he'll probably get charged.
