is the guy id a fast runner/dribbler then backing off just lets him show you the ball going one way, then wrong foot you and cut across and leave you unbalance and left for dead.

The goal is embarrassing but even before that I lost count at the amount of times he had 4,5,6,7 tiny touches of the ball, going nowhere before hoofing it down field or passing it back to Mingolet who did the same.

At one point in the 2nd half he's marking Fellani 5 yards deeper than everyone else in our box.
As I've posted before, check our final league positions in the years he's played 75% of the games.

It cannot be a coincidence, gone on too long.

Birdman don't be silly it's no crusade , he didn't make one mistake before that. He got done by a skillful fast player.. It happens. Does he back off too much? Yes he does. Is he **** like a few are saying? Not a chance. He marked Fellaini out of the game?

Nowhere near in the vicinity as bad as you are saying. The defence isn't the problem, it's the midfield that isn't working and that is the managers fault.... As he hasn't got a clue what way to set us up. This is effecting the defence and attack

Yep, nearly had us a goal down after 5 minutes aswell. He's just dreadful. We've had two good spells defensively under Rodgers, when he got bombed out for Carra and when he was babysat by Can and Sakho. It is not a coincidence. He's woeful and it's going to get the man who keeps picking him sacked so more fool Brendan really.

The midfield the what is wrong. No pressing, giving nothing to the defence or the attack. Too many players that want to be central, No width and seemingly no desire. It's a huge problem.

He's the very, very least of our issues. Slot any defender into that side and you'll see issues in possession with high pressing teams......happened with the three at the back last year as well - a fact clearly forgotten by so many.
