It's probably just agent talk, to 'focus the mind' of LFC in contract negotiations, and has been whipped up by media outlets desperate for their daily story aimed at getting Liverpool supporters to click through or buy the paper or whatever.
In other words, nothing has happened yet so I suggest we all calm down..

Agent talk it may be, but I think his commitment to LFC is questionable now. If 20m+ offer comes in I think club should sell. We've lost better players and he's not irreplaceableComment

I understand that no player is bigger than LFC but as soon as you start selling your best players to teams like City you are effectively saying they are a bigger club and setting a precedent for them buying your players in the future.Comment

Yep, totally agree. And whilst Skrtel as an isolated transfer may make sense at £20m, the recent history of selling our better players would send out all the wrong signals.Originally posted by JohnOK View Post

23 years old and the lynchpin for ze Germans defence. Key player by all accounts with a massive future - fits the profile for what we should be looking for.
