We are all disappointed by every loss, but it's the extent of the outrage. Despite the fact that every team will likely have lost 2-4 games by December our fans will be sacking the manager and the transfer committee, and calling new players failures before they've been at the club two months. It helps no one and leads to unrealistic hysteria and arguments among the fan base. We will lose games, especially with that start. Instead of getting the knives out for the first loss, let's try to be constructive.

We are building a stadium, we are in Europe two seasons running albeit the lower echelons this campaign, a couple of results go our way last year we would of had back to back champions lg and a title run ... that from the utter ****hole of were we were .. the club a total mess .. the team utterly horrible ... owners at each others throats ... fans crying because we did not sign Clint Dempsey .... we were signing players like Paul Konchesky ... and lets not kid ourselfs our club was starring down a barrel of bankruptcy. Forward to today, we are a back on the map, we will be competing for top 4 next season , we have an incedibly exciting young squad now with a good mix of strenght and flare and we do have one of the best young managers in the game, who gets Liverpool .... I have a really good feeling about next season, and suspect we will sign a very big name striker shortly

People are heavily emotionally invested in the club. Different people react differently when the team loses. Some of them are more measured, others vent. I dont see anything wrong in it.Originally posted by vonk View PostWe are all disappointed by every loss, but it's the extent of the outrage. As for losing games, if we start loosing games regularly like last season, people will be up in arms. The margin for error for Brendan this season will be very less. Couple of more Aston Villa or Stoke like performance at the beginning of the season and the morale among the fans will dip.

This is hilarious, pages and pages of debate on whether a fella with a dodgy track record of managing lower league clubs has earned his chance at the age of 57 to get involved with a top Premier league club.
Of course he hasn't. It's a joke of an appointment. Would Chelsea, United, Arsenal or City have ever entertained taking on a sacked former manager of Doncaster or Bristol City? Would they ****. Its a ridiculous, ambitionless appointment and he'll probably be gone in a few months.

Teams coached/managed: Bournemouth, Doncaster, Bristol City, Nottingham Forest, Crawley, England Under-19s
Achievements: 2002/03 Division Three (League Two) play-off winner, 2007 Johnstone's Paint Trophy, 2007/08 League One play-off winner
At least they have a trophy between them now
