    Brendan Rodgers

It's impossible to say if they'll be successful or not. We'll know during the season.
    Was muß, das muß.

At the end of last season, I was sick of football. But right now, I can't wait for the new season. We have a lot to look forward to. It is a new season. A fresh start. Every team starts of 0 points and have 38 games to play. Yes we had a poor season last year but nobody has died. And do you know what, last years cluster**** will tell us a lot about the character and mentality of our players. And our manager too.

You have a rat bag like Sterling who seems to think that he is an elite player who deserves to be playing champions league football (well if the prick scored more than 7 fricken goals then the club would be in the CL!). I really hope we get rid of that prick. I think he is really really talented and has huge potential but do you know what, if we sell him then the motivation to do well for the rest of the team is there. Hopefully Brendan will see it as an opportunity for him to drill it in to the players that there was a little ****bag that thought he was too good for the rest of them…….well go out and prove that yee are all better than him. Be a team that the ****er wouldn’t get back into now. Say to the likes of Ibe, “go out and play to make LFC fans forget about him……but also take his ****in England place as well”

Hopefully the majority of the rest of our players – the likes of Henderson, Sakho, Coutinho – will all be thinking that they know they can do better and be more consistent and take it upon themselves to get the club back to where we belong. A lot of our players have tasted a title charge and have also tasted last years disappointing season – and hopefully they will know what the difference between the two is. And apply themselves on a consistent basis to achieve those goals.

We have Coutinho who has signed a new 5 year contract so he can get his head down and concentrate on being the best he can be. And he can be incredible. He adds a few more goals to his game and if the strikers around him pull up their socks a little, then he can be anything he wants to be. And with the carrot of being Brazil #10 for the next world cup there for him as well, then the next 3 or 4 years of him have the potential to be brilliant.

We have a lot of very good young players who will no doubt get better. Jordan Ibe is eagar to be a fixture in the team – I think he has an eye on making a burst to make the euro2016 team. Emre Can, Moreno and Markovic will all be better for having the 12 months settling in season in England.

Then we have added Milner. People will question if he is a game changer but what they can’t question is the fact that he is an experienced winner. His work rate and his in game intelligence will do wonders to help the team. And although he isn’t fit to tie the laces of Steven Gerrard 2005, he is a big improvement on Steven Gerrard 2015.

Clyne will also improve the first 11. I feel that one of the reasons that we moved to 3 at the back last year was because of the lack of understanding between the centre backs and the full backs. Especially when you see Skrtel getting dragged out of position to the right back area because the right back had gone on the piss. Skrtel was the one who really benefited from moving to a back 3 as it meant that he could just stay in the box and let Can and Sakho cover the full backs. However, the root cause was actually the right back – or lack of one. Now that this is hopefully sorted, we can concentrate to returning to a flat back 4 and playing to everyone’s strengths. However, do you know what? Our team now has a lot of experience of playing a back 3 as well so this should allow Brendan more confidence to make in-game tactical changes when required.

Ings will improve the squad. I know he isn’t exactly Luis Suarez but I get the feeling that the people giving out about us signing him are the same people who would have given out had we not signed him had Ings went to Man United or Spurs. He will cost us less than we will get for Borini or Lambert. He is possibly a better player than both of them (or at least more effective in the 18 yard box) and if it doesn’t work out, then we sell him for a profit based on his previous reputation and move on. It is a no brainer of a signing.

Firmino is obviously talented and at the age where he feels ready to join a bigger team. Hopefully Coutinho can help him settle but if he does settle in England, then we could have a world class talent on our hands.

Origi is a young player that will thrive under a manager that has proved he is brilliant at introducing young players to the first team. And he has also played a lot of football for Lille. His form there last year wasn’t brilliant but that can be understandable as he was counting down to his big move which was confirmed and he was also in a team that isn’t going to get relegated but not going to win the league either. He could be a big player for us in 2 or 3 seasons but who knows, he could also be useful next season. Vincent Kompany said he would be one of the best strikers in the world a few months ago so he obviously has a lot of talent.

Sturridge will also hopefully get his fitness sorted out and come back into the fold. If he can then that is a 20 goal a season striker right there. And all of a sudden we are flying.

There is already a lot of positives about LFC next season. I really think if Brendan can focus the main group on the league only and use the squad for the cups, then we could surprise a lot of people this season. Also, our away fixtures are horrible before xmas but the fact that they are all away from home hopefully means we can instill some tactical consistency in those tricky away games and pick up some points. If we can be 12 points or less away from the top at Christmas, then I would fancy us to push hard in the second half of the season.

      We go again.

That was like his Don Draper letter denouncing tobacco advertising, it was his Jerry Maguire statement of intent, his Mein Kampf

And you just dismissed it and threw it aside!

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I thought Jerry McGuire called it his mission statement
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
