Think either McAllister or Sami would be the two best choices out of all the names mentioned in regards to ex-players.

Massive 4 months ahead for Rodgers. He really needs to get it right in pre-season (team, style of play and mentality) and hit the road running in August.

Our first eleven Prem games, August to October, are brutal. I can't wait
      Another MASSIVE game

Anyone think he may of lost the dressing room? Coach changes, Sterling voicing his bile and Gerrard not hanging around.

Its not been a great few months for him, that's for sure.

Sterling thing is a blatant transfer ploy - as James Pearce says he went for a meal round Brendan's house in May, and has often talked about how good he's been for his career.

Gerrard not hanging around - he's openly said he didn't want to be a squad player and is there a single fan on here who would say he merits starting every game these days?

Coach changes are interesting, but not that unusual - how many assistants did Fergie have, or has Mourinho had?

I don't think any of those things are signs that he's lost the dressing room. I do think that the capitulation at Stoke was a worrying sign, but the new signings should help lift the club in that respect, and getting rid of Sterling and Balotelli would help even further.

Judging by our last performance, YES

Hopefully wrong but something just doesn't feel quite right this pre-season.

Coach changes were needed - the owners have probably made it clear to BR that another poor season is unacceptable.
Sterling is stupid and toxic (BR has nurtured Sterling)
Gerrard said he wanted regular first team football. Rodgers had the balls to (rightly) say that he couldn't promise this at Liverpool.

Rodgers is under immense pressure. Not a bad thing.

experienced managers know when and how to freshen things up and keep their winning edge.

rodgers has used his assistants like an airbag. if they were not good enough why did he stick with them for so long...

                            That's a bit harsh!!

He wasn't going to change them last summer after almost winning the league and changing during the season would probably have been a bad idea, so I think he/the club have acted as quickly as could be reasonably expected.

And still, after being told that, he played almost every game when avaliable.

He shouldn't be manager imo. Personally I'm finding it hard to get behind the team with him in charge. A lot of movement to come in the window yet but nothing has been done to strengthen glaring weaknesses in the spine of the team. It's nowhere near strong enough no matter what formation you put in. Defence has not been addressed either, but then that's the norm now as it has been that way since BR took over. Delaying the inevitable.
