Thanjk you.

He shouldn't be manager imo. Personally I'm finding it hard to get behind the team with him in charge. A lot of movement to come in the window yet but nothing has been done to strengthen glaring weaknesses in the spine of the team. It's nowhere near strong enough no matter what formation you put in. Defence has not been addressed either, but then that's the norm now as it has been that way since BR took over. Delaying the inevitable.
Oh, and YNWA of course
I think he will prove you wrong. Feels right he gets another crack now he hasn't got the Gerrard thing hanging over him, just ****ing sterling now.
Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde
I listened to the anfield wrap the other day and they spoke about the changes to the coaching set up and how it might improve things. Gave me a different perspective on things and certainly has me more hopeful. I was quite uplifted by it.
Sterling thing is a blatant transfer ploy - as James Pearce says he went for a meal round Brendan's house in May, and has often talked about how good he's been for his career.
Gerrard not hanging around - he's openly said he didn't want to be a squad player and is there a single fan on here who would say he merits starting every game these days?
Coach changes are interesting, but not that unusual - how many assistants did Fergie have, or has Mourinho had?
I don't think any of those things are signs that he's lost the dressing room. I do think that the capitulation at Stoke was a worrying sign, but the new signings should help lift the club in that respect, and getting rid of Sterling and Balotelli would help even further.
Agree completely.
Gerrard leaving the club is the best thing that has happened this summer. It will allow the manager focus on the best team as opposed to managing SG's game-time and also it will allow other players step up and take responsibility on the pitch themselves - i expect to see a much improved Henderson, Coutinho, Sakho and Skrtel as they will all take that extra 5% responsibility.
SG is one of my favourite players of all time but i think he should have been a squad player last season - he should have been used as an impact substitute like Man City did with Frank Lampard. Our results when SG got injured prove this.....
Sterling - i am starting to wonder if he wakes up every morning at this stage and just wishes he never set sights on Aidy Ward. It's like he has gone so far down a ****ty shortcut road to get to where he wanted to go. However, it is getting to the stage now where he is damaging his reputation and he could actually be turning prospective buyers off. If he wakes up a LFC player the day after the transfer window, then he will have huge regrets........
The Stoke game at the end of the season was a typical example of a team that just wanted the season to end. It was a disgrace from the team but i genuinely think our main players were just knackered after a long season and it was in effect a nothing game. To be honest, as soon as we lost to Hull, the players heads dropped.
The coaching changes are a strange one for me. It is almost like BR admitted in the review that they were not up to the job and hung them out to dry. It will be interesting to hear CP's and MM's side of the story. Perhaps Brendan felt that he couldn't delegate to CP / MM and that became a big problem with european games taken into account. Alternatively, maybe BR felt that CP / MM didn't impact enough tactically during games - maybe they offered nothing of real value to brendan when he was deciding what changes to make etc. We'll probably have to wait for a book to come out before we get the story on that one....
However, the fact that it appears that BR has been given the opportunity to pick his own replacements - coupled with the fact that they have again backed him in the transfer market - all suggests that they retain a degree of faith in Brendan.
Really feels like the calm before the storm, but I'm liking this undercover Rodgers...
Not a ****ing peep from him, even though he's all over the photos from the early training sessions etc
Probably will chime in once the tour is underway, but wouldn't mind it continuing for a while. Head down, get **** together etc etc

it would be nice if he would show a bit of humility and not always grab the chance to tell everyone he invented football. if we have a few good results early doors he just wont be able to help himself though.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
That's the danger I suppose, but perhaps we'll learn a bit about who we have in charge going on the first few months of the season..............is he someone who has taken onboard criticism constructively, and used it to tailor his approach to the job, or will he fall into a repeating pattern of headless-chickeness until the inevitable chop comes ?

The photos of today's training show Rodgers standing watching and O'Driscoll doing the coaching so he clearly feels he has somebody he can trust now to take some of the work on and not just put out the cones and look great in shorts. One of Linders talking to Origi too which will probably be a theme for him this season, help the younger lads in the squad.
And still, after being told that, he played almost every game when avaliable.
I assumed he thought he could not humiliate Stevie, especially in those last four or five games when the press were full of the 'Stevie farewell tour'. And the players turn the wick down when they know the best 11 are not being picked.

It's been welcome news not hearing anything from the club. About time too

read something the other day that our starting line up is now completely rogers signings aside from Skrtel and Henderson so there can be no excuses now.
Interesting to note that those two would (arguably) be the stand out leaders in the side

what is also interesting is that Brendan wanted to swap henderson for Clint Dempsey......and it looked like Skrtel was surplus to requirements a year ago!!!
