Finally opening his mouth...
10am BST: Brendan presser in Bangkok
Brendan Rodgers will speak to local media in Bangkok from 10am BST today at a press conference that can be watched live on LFCTV and LFCTV GO.
We are with the Liverpool squad for every step of their pre-season tour, which kicked off this morning when the Reds landed in Thailand.
A busy opening day of the journey includes the opportunity to hear from the manager ahead of the friendly against the True Thai Premier League All Stars tomorrow. What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

Ah well
Still, we'll wait and see.......might be more reserved and considered in how he comes across. Got a valuable lesson last season in how he was being perceived in the football world and it was surely a close (looked impossible) thing in the close season.
Having said that, I was half expecting him to do a jazz-hands as he walked past the camera in that plane-boarding video from yesterday.
Ultimately he can be as brash as he likes as long as the results come in."I will make the boys feel your support"

Benteke, origi, ings, firminoOriginally posted by Bloodraven View PostJust looked up this stat, Gerrard and Sterling scored 16 of our 52 league goals last season.
I can't see where the goals are coming from next season

Yep, 36 league goals left without those two. Less than a goal a game from the rest of the squad.Originally posted by Bloodraven View PostJust looked up this stat, Gerrard and Sterling scored 16 of our 52 league goals last season.

Against all logic though I do think we'll score just about enough goals this season.
I just think we'll, once again, struggle to keep them out.

Gerrard scored 9.....4 pens included. Sterling spawned more than he scored. Neither stat is hardly irreplaceable?Originally posted by Bloodraven View PostJust looked up this stat, Gerrard and Sterling scored 16 of our 52 league goals last season.

I think if we improved the defense we would score more. For me a significant part of our problems have come from a failure to have a joined up team resulting too many players not being in useful positions to build or finish off attacks.Originally posted by Pablo View PostYep, 36 league goals left without those two. i think that it will click for a lot of our players at around the same time. Coutinho has it in his locker to score 10-15 goals a year over the next 2 seasons and then kick on again to 15-20....
Milner will score as many goals as Gerrard offered last season.
Henderson also has the ability to add goals to his game - especially as he takes on additional responsibility.
Firmino can create chances for others and also chip in with 10 goals next season himself....
With regard to Origi and Ings, time will tell how they settle and how many games they get.
I think we will be okay. If Sturridge can get back and stay injury free for a prolonged period, then we have a 20-league-goal-a-season striker that most teams would kill for.
