    $$$$$$$

He signed a 5 year contract last year. That and how stupid it would make them look if they sacked him a year into it. They look stupid either way, depending on which side of the fence you're sitting on, its hard to say which decision would have been worse for them.

Definitely the one they've apparently chosen.

As I've stated before, Brendan isn't the problem here, it's FSG.

Yeah the whole thing has been pathetic, along with the "review will decide his future" narrative of it, is 3 years in the job, speaking to him regularly (i assume) and all the stats and results not enough to form an opinion on the guy and his time at the club?!

Theres way too much in the media from us, I dont know who's doing it and obviously you cant stop everything leaking but the amount of info all the Liverpool journo's get is staggering. The annual summer "LFC to bid for..." "LFC confident they'll get their man" "man goes to other club" is cringey enough but all this stuff is another level!

Yep. Nobody knows who Arsenal or City or United will buy this summer. Yet our shopping list is there for everyone to see.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

FSG didn't target players like Borini/Allen/Lovren..

FSG didn't pick Gerrard as a DM, Lovren and Johnson up until late November

FSG don't make Rodgers inept in Europe

FSG don't force Rodgers to play with 4 strikers on the bench and none on the pitch

FSG definitely have a flawed system in place and lack football knowledge but I think Rodgers is a big problem working within that flawed system. I agree sacking Rodgers doesn't solve the overriding issues but he's out of his depth.

If we get to this time next year and he's led us to a league title with Benteke, Ings and Clyne, then I will hail him as the greatest manager the world has ever known. I seriously will.

And so will all of you!

And if Jimmy Saville rose from the dead and banged in 70 league goals I'd hail him as our greatest ever player. Both scenarios seem equally bizarre to me

Yep. Dont know who it is (not Brendan as this was going on before he even got here though im sure he has a chat off the record now and again like every manager) but it's like someone gets home at night from the LFC office and the first thing they do is get Barrett, Joyce, Hunter, Maddock etc in on a group chat to boast about what went on during the day. Its ****ing weird.

It'll be interesting comparing their reasoning now to when they sacked Kenny.

Disappointed that he survived and to a certain extent is it unbelievable that he survived this.

But given that he is our manager for the next year, he will have my support. Though my doubts will again increase exponentially if we have a stuttering start to the season.

Plenty of club apologist's will blame that malarkey on the players agents etc. There will be some of that but its clear for me the club does it and does it way too often too. Every window we've had this ****e.

The way the club is run at the moment is akin to the England set up under Mike Bassett.
