I'd have Moreno as well, since we are playing Sakho we can lose the extra protection. We need pace and width on the flanks. Lucas can help cover.

I think against United the team from the weekend would be fine. Obviously id rather add Sakho & Couts would need replacing. But I wouldnt move too much away from the 433.

I think that system we used against Arsenal is perfect for when we are expecting to be under the cosh. We defend deep and then look to press and attack in the space.

The problem is that when teams sit back it's useless. Gomez forced to cut in. Lucas too slow to cover the ground. Couts & Firmino dropping deep and leaving Benteke isolated. People criticised Ibe at the start of the season, but at least he stayed wide and stretched the play, pulling opposition defenders wide who put two men on him.

Back to the tactics board for Rodgers.
        Forwards.......

The other coaching, the scouting all follow the template. Its no accident those who are now ex Swansea managers have not had that same consistency even if they have had good seasons and Jackett, Martinez, and Rodgers have had them but they've also had some pretty bad ones.
Extremely well run and far more forward thinking in other areas than most people probably realise.

Actually, I agree, mostly. My dislike for Dejan is too much though, but how about unchanged team with Moreno in for Coutinho? Hendo in for Can if he's fit. Dejan on holiday and Sakho in for him naturally but we know that wont happen since Sakho isn't match fit.

I think with no national team games to bother Sakho with we should start working on him being played v United right now.

Maybe with Coutinho out we could be forced to use more width, I'd use Moreno but wouldn't be surprised to see Ibe. Sakho could be very useful in starting quick attacks IMO. We need more speed, either though faster more direct players or faster passing, either one will do for me.

The echo did an article about Lovren wanting to hide under a table. In that Lovren said the manager already told him he was starting the next game at united but that quotes been taken out of the article now.

I think you need to be more careful when reading Shaggy's posts.

                              no worries.

But how many think he will be dropped ? I certainly don't. Rodgers will back his own signings to the hilt but any committee signings get shafted quickly.
