It's never nice to see someone lose their job, but I am pleased to see BR go.
We have become such a negative, one dimensional team under him over the last 18 months. Tactics have been awful, and i don't think we have even had a plan A, let alone a plan B or C for some time now.
We are just a plain bore to watch, and something needed to give.
I do wish him luck wherever he goes next, but his time with us was up 6 months ago... better late than never

Getting Klopp in would be so refreshing, partly due to the fact that he seems really authentic while I have a feeling Rodgers is trying too hard to be Bill Shankly.Originally posted by fowlen View PostIt's never nice to see someone lose their job, but I am pleased to see BR go.

I think Rodgers could use a break to "find himself".* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I'm beginning to think that Béla Guttmann (and latterly Mourinho) were right that three years is pretty much always the limit for a manager. Certainly unless a manager is showing an upward trajectory it seems that more often than not it is after that which trouble arises.
I think the move is probably good for both club and manager in the long run. His last 18 month have been quite a battle for all concerned and the new coaching staff didn't seem to clarify or improve his thinking."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I get that impression as well. I'd say Klopp's public image is every bit as cultivated as Rodgers was, but perhaps less contrived.Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostGetting Klopp in would be so refreshing, partly due to the fact that he seems really authentic while I have a feeling Rodgers is trying too hard to be Bill Shankly.

We shall see firsthand anyways!I wear my heart on my profile name.

Sakho too. Frankly it is just an exercise in kicking a man when he is down.Originally posted by RoadEnd View Post
From Phil McNulty article on BBC. Team of Rodgers flops
Bit unfair to include Bogdan but then he had to stick a goalie in to make a team."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

They'll lap up his dribble up there

Liverpool's decision to sack Brendan Rodgers just eight games into the new Premier League season could cost the club more than £10million.
