We need better central defenders than him. He played good this season but if we want to play a high defensive line with a compact team then Carra is a big no.

You only need to look at the space behind Johnson when he attacks that Carra fails to cover because he is to slow doing it.

There is still actually more benefits to keeping him then not having him in the future especially if we Sell Skrtel and Coates and only bring in Ashley Williams and no top Class Defenders. Especially in the Squad. Give him a 1-year rolling contract/ pay as you play contract or low wages as with the likes of Giggs at Utd Etc.

Having more experienced players in the squad is Vital to helping young players learn.

The big reason to why we don't let in as many goals since Carra replaced Skrtel in the XI is that we now play deeper and more counter attacking football, less possession.

Rodgers changed it to suit the players. We only have one central defender that can play with a high defensive line and that is Agger. After a few months Rodgers saw that and changed the way we play.

Depends what system we play. if we played like we did the first months this season then Carra would probably look as worse as Skrtel did.

If Skrtel would play in the defensive system we do now then he would IMO play much better than he did at the start of the season.
