I thought similar comments were made when Kenny took over? I suppose it’s all relative though, just even seeing a ball in training after Hodgson left was probably quite alien for most players. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Thanks for posting good read. Two things passing drills & pressing hard, if that's the way we'll play... happy days although we'll see if the talk can be put into action. All about the results at end of day!Originally posted by MrMichael View PostLike this from an interview with Shelvey today..

Glad to hear that, although it has always puzzled me how someone earning thousands per week playing for this great club would not enjoy going to work.Everyone is enjoying training and looking forward to coming in."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

TBF, pay isn't for everyone, a major factor in enjoying work.Originally posted by Tee View PostGlad to hear that, although it has always puzzled me how someone earning thousands per week playing for this great club would not enjoy going to work.

No, but when your work involves running about a field for a few hours a day and getting tens of thousands of pounds a week for doing so, meaning you can retire at 35 and be setup for life... its a bit of a stretch for most people to see how that wouldn't be enjoyable.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

I think I've read similar quotes after all of the last 3 or 4 managers - that the players are now REALLY enjoying training.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostNo, but when your work involves running about a field for a few hours a day and getting tens of thousands of pounds a week for doing so, meaning you can retire at 35 and be setup for life... its a bit of a stretch for most people to see how that wouldn't be enjoyable."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

3 managers in 3 years and every time. Enjoy training etc at the start of every season.
I preferred it when we had Rafa, were the players did not come out with comments - ' I enjoy training'...more they had nightmares everyday. Oh no Pako hill followed by Essays on Possibilities and Detention for Cisse writing 100's of lines - I must not be offiside

Yeah he does seem quite short. In all the photo's I've seen of him he's never been taller than anyone else in the picture.Originally posted by Cormack74 View PostNever noticed before but he looks very short - at least he did on LFCTV this evening when surrounded by the players unless it was just the camera angle?
I really wish he'd get his teef sorted. They're terrible.
