He's a good RB. No one knows for sure whether he has what it takes at CB at senior level. What we can tell is that several managers have seen him primarily as a fullback, you would imagine there is a reason other than pure mental inertia.

I don't get all the mad clamouring for new signings. Anyone we get will need time to bed in, the last thing we need is 4 or 5 new players all trying to learn new tactics, training and how their new teammates play.
I'd like to see BR be brave and play some of the youngsters. I understand why he may not, but I'd like to see it.

Not a criticism of you, but I just don't understand the constant romantic clamouring for the playing of youngsters. It doesn't matter if it's Rafa, Hodgson, Kenny, or BR, it keeps happening.

Surely the objective is for the manager to play the best 11 available in order to win games?
        Oh I don't know.

I remember the clamour for this apparent young world beater we had in the reserves to be given his first team chance

When he made his full debut (against leeds I think) my first impressions were - 'Is this it'?! I wasn't impressed in the slightest & still havent been.

His name - Jay Francis Spearing

The majority of fans know dick - if the younger lads are good enough they'll be given a chance when ready; simple. No manager will hold back any player if he thinks he can improve the first team

Same as when people were asking for Nemeth to get a chance. He's since shown his level I think. May have been different had he steered clear of injury.

The best recent youth products seem to be the ones who have left, Kacaniclic and Ince. I think more than anything it shows the gap between reserve level and the first team. Hopefully this new tournament changes things.

Brendan Rodgers has the gift of the gab, he's like salesmen that I speak to most days of the week, he could sell ice to Eskimos I reckon, and when I listen to him and hear he sent a 60, 100, 500 or whatever number pages dossier of how football should be played & his vision (Brodgers Kampf) to our owners I am not surprised they were impressed & hooked to his bait. Yanks love dossiers, stat pages & economics etc., he was exactly what they wanted.

Me, I prefer pedigree & honours than soundbites & phrases relating to a game I've been watching longer than he has. He aint hooking me with his chat about re-inventing the wheel.

Results Brendan, that's what impresses me.

He hasn't even reached a half century of top flight games in management yet - which sounds a lot doesn't it?

Shove your dossier in your desk drawer and show me what you got coz I've got a vision of the future LFC too and it aint pretty passing.

They say Arsenal are a fake Barcelona, will we become a fake Arsenal and go years and years without winning a raffle?

                Me too, it's yummy.
                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Frank - if you're confused, the natives think you're possibly an ex-member who had a remarkably similar username. Though that would surely be too obvious?

Quick and easy test: What are your opinions about Kenny Dalglish's last period managing the club?
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                              Mine angry and defrauded young?
