Been thinking about it and that's how I feel. Depressing. FSG clearly haven't got the resources to push us on, we need new owners IMO. And we can't keep sacking managers, so we have to give him time. It all feels a bit helpless.

I will give FSG one last benefit of the doubt and hope they spend in January if not they start getting into H&G territory with false promises

Yes unfortunately I think theres something in this.

Its not just finance for me either. I think we are not set up correctly at all and the lack of a proper football figurehead at the club is causing us untold problems.

There are some huge problems that fsg still have not solved two years into their ownership. Thats not laziness its incompetence.

There are some problems yes but one of them is not Rodgers for sure.

Not especially impressed so far but short termism is not what we need.

Imo hes part of the problem. Hes the one who insisted he didnt want to work with a director of football or report to a senior footballing figure.

As it stands all the support staff work for him.

Well, the DoF experiment didn't work out too well with Commolli, so it's par for the course at this stage IMO. It's too early to be judging negatively, though I can understand people's frustrations because results haven't been good enough.

Rodgers will make mistakes as he's still young and inexperienced at this level, but his football philosophy should be praised. It's the way forward and it would be daft not to back that completely.

Even if we finish 12th ?

Yes. I expect us to finish in the top 6 or better next season though, if we keep on playing like we do.

Kenny went because we finished 8th.

By that measure shouldnt rodgers go if we finish 12th.

Last season we won a cup, reached another final and still the manager got the sack because the league form wasnt good enough. Why should rodgers stay on if kenny didnt.

I must admit I'm losing faith in Rodgers. Not suggesting he should be sacked, but I am really disappointed so far. I'm not convinced that patience will make a great deal of difference, obviously I hope I'm proved wrong. I suspect I won't be.

I have to say that the second paragraph of this quote pisses me of: -

"January won't be the answer to everything, this is a process that's going to take time. Look at this Tottenham squad here, we've all seen this build up over the last three or four years," the 39-year-old concluded.

"It's taken them six or seven windows and they've got a really strong squad. We're at the beginning of a cycle that will hopefully take us there.

AVB is also a young Manager and the new Manager of Spurs that has inherited a squad. Unlike Rodgers he lost his most expensive player (Modric) against his will in the summer and Rodgers chose to ship out Carroll.

You cannot say that Spurs have built their squad over seven windows but say we have only had 1 window. He is comparing apples with oranges.

The owners have had 3 windows and we've spent a lot more money than Spurs. So as a club we have spent more money and had time to build our squad but have done a **** job of it compared with Spurs.

And as a Manager AVB has had no more opportunity to build HIS squad than Rodgers has had.

Then when you compare the two Managers then Rodgers is doing no better and probably worse this season than we did under Dalglish or even Hodgsen and AVB is also doing worse than Redknapp did but he could argue that he involuntarily lost one of his most important players in the summer.

So it's not as straightforward as saying Rodgers is doing **** because he has inherited a **** squad, but he has also inherited an expensively assembled squad and his results are not better than the previous 2 Managers we've had.

Comparing club vs club you have to say we have been wank for years in assembling and developing our squad. Actually, since Rafa left. And we have been just as wank since the new owners came in as we were with the old owners even if they have spent money (most of which I think has come from the sale of Torres and the new Standard Chartered deal and I think the Standard Chartered deal was closed or just about complete before they took over wasn't it?).

Basically, I'm pissed off with everything!
