I presume you are talking about Lucas??

Now I look at that lad and hes been immense for us previously and he looks woefully out of sorts at the minute but more worrying for me he looks as though he lacks the discipline / understanding to be a holding player

We know he had it previously but he doesnt look like hes got it now. Hes being dragged all over the pitch and I'm none too convinced that its solely down to coming back after a long lay off

I remember a mate of mine saying a few months back that Rodgers insistence on players constantly moving positions would create problems with regards to our shape in midfield

At times you need a player to hold more and work as a pivot rather than dashing around all over the place

The midfield all seems to haphazard for me and again this surprises me as when Rodgers talks about tactics he usually says a lot of stuff I agree with. Yet it rarely if ever appears on the pitch

Considering people say Skrtel and Agger are world class defenders, the way they were dealing with Jones was pretty poor. The same applies to Carlton Cole when we played West Ham and Benteke when we played Aston Villa.

TBF if the supply into these forwards was stopped or made harder, they would not have as much trouble. We allow other teams too much time and space to put the ball into the box.

That to me is a fundamental we are frequently failing at

What I dont get is that on the odd occasion I have heard Brendan talk about tactics etc.. hes impressed me with his knowledge and ability to describe what should have happened or should be being done in any given situation

Yet that knowledge doesnt in any way seem to be translating from inside his mind to the players out there on the pitch
          Couldn't agree more, it's bizarre.
          Hello mert.

I very worried we can't seem to escape this mid table mire, yes a couple of good results and we are near 4th place, but if we go into a nose dive, well, it doesn't bear thinking about.

The lack of work in closing down the opposition is shocking and it allows opposition defenders and midfielders huge amounts of time to punt the ball into the right areas

Too many players ambling around the pitch. I wonder how much fitness work we actually do now. Harking on about Rafa I know, but IIRC under him we were one of the fittest teams in the league, if not the fittest.

First and foremost, Rodgers needs to bring in a couple of proper goalscorers, then worry about everything else later.

I don't think many of us wanted Rodgers in the first place. Once he was appointed we were all enthusiastic about the new change in philosophy and ideas but I have lost all faith in Rodgers to deliver.

there's parallels between what Rodgers is doing to us and what avb did to Chelsea. The squad isn't anywhere near as bad as people think it is and its certainly good enough for top six.

the manager is very quick to deflect the blame onto the players but the fact is we has no chance from the start. Why would you play suso and shelvey in a game so physical and demanding in which neither can make a valid contribution. Stoke and Fulham are different buy not in Rodgers eyes.

The manager got it wrong again like he has several times this season. I don't see how he can turn this around.

Said this about Gerrard before, you can see the pass he's going to make about 5 mins before he executes it. Most of our players are like that, so easy to read.

Rodgers talks a good game and can make anything sound passionate
