Keep faith. We have shown in patches over the past month that we can play good football. We went away to Arsenal and Man City and did not lose. We were very unlucky not to get wins from those games too. Just last weekend Steve Clarke and many pundits were saying that we are playing the best football in the league at the moment.

We need to realise that we have a lot of very young and inexperienced players in our first team at the moment and this is a learning curve for them. You can't realistically expect a team with so many youngsters to have the consistency of our more experienced rivals.

Im 100% behind the manager, ofcourse I acknowledge that defensively and tactically we have made mistakes this season but I think to implement the changes he is trying to implement there were always going to be setbacks. I think we will still finish the season strong and the team with improve

we have to give Rodgers another full season to see if any real progress is being made, but the real issue is consistency...we get so close to 4/5th then trow it all away

Rodgers is the latest in a long line of managers to fail with the same core group of players. Maybe instead of questioning the managers, we should start asking questions of the players.

This season I've seen us dominate in the majority of our games, only to fail to finish our chances or make a basic defensive error.

If we were getting out played in games then I could understand the criticism. Now of course we could over analyse the situation and find errors that have occurred whilst Rodgers has been in charge. But every manager makes mistakes.

For me personally, he's on the right track. But he needs to sign the right players in the summer. So far, Allen, Borini & Assaidi have flopped. We can't afford to make mistakes this summer. I know those players may yet come good, but we need players to settle immediately.

At least this summer we will have a full pre season under Rodgers.
          Forwards.......

Nope. I still have faith in the manager and the team. Some embarrassing results are not enough to change my opinion.

Throughout the last 3 and half years of mediocrity we've had essentially the same core group of players - Reina, Skrtel, Johnson, Agger, Lucas and Gerrard, all those players are IMO fragile mentally, it's no coincidence that as soon as we lost 2 natural leaders in Xabi and Sami that things started to fall apart.
It's fairly obvious what type of player we need in the summer I think.

                Agree with most of this.

I do think we as LFC fans overestimate our players, a few good performances and they are 'world class'. Are Reina, Agger, Skrtel, Enrique and controversially Lucas the world beaters the majority of us think they are?

Certainly Johnson apart i'd be quite happy to see the whole defensive unit changed in the summer (won't happen though).
                  We come not to play.

It's true we over-rate our players.

It's also true that our players are mentally weak and have been for the past 3/4 years.

That is why Xabi is a must signing in the summer. His winning mentality is top class. Sell Allen and sign Xabi.

Wouldn't mind a player or two from Bayern. Gomez for example. I can't see him fit Pep's style of play. Could be available on the cheap.

Winning mentality, that is what we need.

Not sure Gomez would our style of player, he needs good players around him to let him play because apart from finishing, he has nothing to his game and would IMO be too much of a passenger.

Now if you said Lahm and Schweinsteiger.

                          Not ecactly realistic names.

I think Gomez is exactly the type of striker we are missing. Someone that will be in the box almost all the time and score the ugly goals.

Bayern and Real will probably sell and sign a lot of players in the summer. Could be a few players available on the cheap at both clubs.

No problem with him been realistic and saying 4th is unlikely but why make a stupid statement about 2nd earlier in the season

As for the squad of his signings, Sturridge for me is the only one who has improved the squad.

Overall I am disappointed I don't see progress he has done no better than Kenny and we will not be winning any trophies this season.

I agree. We're all entitled to our opinion, but I fail to see any improvement this season whatsoever. I accept that our dependency on young players has hampered progress somewhat. Rodgers hasn't done anything to restore confidence. I am fed up moaning about things, just wish someone could inspire our players to perform above themselves (or even to the level they should be achieving!) instead of falling below our expectations. I don't think I'm guilty of overrating our players, I think we have a team and squad more than capable of reaching top six. Any lower than that is a complete failure in my opinion.
