While I'm at it and before I set off for Anfield, imagine, just imagine spending £15m, £17m or £20m on a holding/defensive midfield in Jan yet Rodgers continues to pick Lucas while the new player sits on the bench.

Its ****ing staggering, Man U, Chelsea, City spend £17m on squad players.

We've shipped 6 goals in 2 games, half of those were the fault of a centre back but that's ok keep leaving the £17m current French international out the team.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Spot on Birdman. It's exactly what I've been saying.

I like Rodgers but he's totally got it wrong on this defence. Now looking at resorting to Skrtel and Agger again. Doesn't flipping work!

He's playing a dangerous game for me. Yesterday it was Ilori who was for the future, today it is Sakho. Pretty sure the bosses did not sanction £17m plus £6m on 2 CBs with both being for the future as opposed to now. They wouldn't have called Sakho a 'marquee' signing if that was the case.

He's resorting to this 'we didn't buy first teamers, we just signed young players' bull imo. Sakho is a former PSG Captain. He got a severe ripping yesterday from across the pond and I suspect he'll get another today.

He also indicated that Sakho is not doing his best in training that somewhat explains his doubts.

The whole thing is very strange and even though I wasn't sure he was needed in the first place he did pretty good whenever he was given the chance to play.

he is too pally with toure and they are disruptive in class. brendan needs to sit them at separate desks.

5 - Liverpool have scored 5+ goals in a single PL game five times under Rodgers, only one fewer than Benitez managed in six seasons. Frenzy.

To be fair, Rodgers has Suarez......I mean the guy was incensed at the 91st minute when a corner decision went against him.....at 5-1 and him having bagged four goals
                * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

His teams/formations are certainly very bold, much more than Rafa's. Shows in the way we play and probably with the amount of mistakes we make as well, as we take more risks. He needs to keep playing the same way though as it's the only way to perfect it. The mistakes will eradicate themselves over time.
                  Are we winning?

Hmmm true but Rafa had Gerrard at his best as well, so, par for the course I'd say.

Kenny had Suarez also but if you're a very good manager you'll get the best out of your key players like Rodgers does. If Kenny had stayed on I'm not sure if Suarez would have turned out to be this player.
Rafa on Everton - "When you play against the smaller teams at Anfield you know the game will be narrow"

Remember at the end of last season we all gave him our teacher's reports? I think I gave him a C+ IIRC.

Anyway I think it's nearing that time again for a mid-term report

I think I'd give him a B+ this time around. Possibly even an A-.

Not so sure about that but when you build a team round one person that person tends to appear to benefit most.

If Brendo sorts out our/his defence, we'll be laughing. But at the moment, i get nervous every time the opposition attack, no matter how **** they are.

Yesterday was a prime example. Back in the days of Rafa and Carra in his prime, we wouldn't have conceded like that. I remember reading an interview with Carra saying that the defence score goals by keeping clean sheets, and our defence never look like doing that

But on a lighter note, we look like we could outscore most teams, if we turn up.
