His man management skills are superb. He has taken players who were underperforming or were in the potential bracket and turned them into some of the best players in the league. For me the turn around in Henderson and now Allen is starting to up his game is all down to Rodgers.

Rodgers should have landed one on Wilkins a couple weeks back during their Wilkins drunken spat.

I doubt he wanted the first half to go that way we were damn lucky. The diamond wasn't working with Coutinho there, Rodgers said we struggled at times in first half with the diamond formation. He changed it, instant reaction was fantastic.

I'm a massive fan of Rodgers but he made a mistake.. it happens & he fixed it & we won no biggie. He wouldn't have made the change so early on in the second half if things were working the way they were suppose to

Did he? I thought he said the diamond worked as it caught Southampton by surprise, then realised he was promoting himself and quickly went on to say but all the credit goes to the players.

Coutinho has been inconsistent all season, lot of people saying before the game that maybe Coutinho should have been benched, guy looks bolloxed & all of us were surprised when Sterling was the one that was dropped.

The diamond didn't work with Coutinho, his legs were gone and he offered us nothing. I highly doubt it was in Rodgers plan for us to be completely over run and dominated in the midfield in the first half. Sterling should have started & the very fact that the substitution was made after 56 mins shows that it wasn't working & a change had to be made.

Mistake not to rest Coutinho? Mistake not to start Sterling? Great management bringing on Sterling to exploit the space? Whatever way you want to look at it Rodgers is doing a fantastic job & every manager make mistakes

Weirdly Coutinho seems to be saving his stinkers for games against the weaker sides and being absolutely ****ing world class v the likes of Arsenal and Everton. He was good at City too, where he scored.

If a player doesn't perform its not a mistake. Your original post read like you suggested he got the system wrong,he didn't.It worked well for most of the game except last 20 of first half and first ten of second.The sub fixed that.
