I really hope there's no bad blood between them. Rodgers has had what could be construed as a little pop at Rafa, and Rafa had what could've been interpreted as a pop at Rodgers. Rafa is a proud man and clearly wanted - and still wants - his job back. Rafa is a Red, and you'd hope he'd be delighted if we won the league at any time under Rodgers.

    One legend, one potential legend.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Such a shame they couldn't team up (not as joint Managers mind!). What a ****ing boot room that would be.

I prefer Rafa the man over Brendan the man and Rafa has unquestionably the better CV for winning things.

That said, what Rodgers has achieved so far this season is incredible - and we're on course for doing something pretty much unprecedented.

I love them both & won't have a bad word said about them- a lot harder position to defend where Rafa is concerned.

What I will say is that I'm happy with where Brendog is taking us & given the choice wouldn't swap him for Rafa back-and from me, that really is very high praise indeed.

If Brendog wants to go manage Barca in 10 years after winning us everything in sight, I'd welcome Rafa back completely. (I'd probably cry too, being far too emotional a human-being than is good!)

Irishman versus a Spaniard? Only one winner there if it becomes a back alley scrap.

                Never ever going to work.

Seen Napoli play a few times over last few months and they have been absolutely dire to watch. Pretty much how we were in Rafa's last season and a half to two seasons here

Sorry, wouldnt want that kind of football back here. The quality of our play is much better than that of Napoli at the moment

We should use the past to inspire us (Shanks, Bob, Joe, Kenny, Rafa, Hodge ).

However, this Rafa v xxxx is boring. We should concentrate on the present and look forward with confidence. Brendan Rodgers is doing an unbelievably good job. I wouldn't want any other manager. BR

Last season I'll grant you we were very drab & poor, however we were on fire the season before, hammering Scum & Real within a week & Torres & Gerrard getting 20+ goals each.

I was a huge "Bring Back Rafa" fan and not a big fan of Rodgers in the beginning. No shame in holding my hands up and saying I was 100% wrong on that aspect.

No point in comparing the two. Happy that both were associated with this club. They have embraced the city, the club, the culture and acted with dignity, courage, and class - on and off the pitch.

Right now I would be a little bit apprehensive about bringing Rafa back if Rodgers leaves in the future. That is one thing I wonder about. The football has been so entertaining this season, how do we match that.

I don't mean to but I get subconsciously get annoyed when we are not up by atleast 3 goals by half time

truth is, Rafa hasn't been a top manager for a while now (by his standards). I've watched his teams play over the last 3-4 years and they are pretty boring and not even clinical. That's five years now. Sometimes you just have to be realistic and say he's not as good a manager as he used to be.
