You could view it that there's a certain arrogance in pushing the media agenda in that direction, after all, it's no coincidence that the articles have been published together.

Mourinho likes to stir things up, be controversial, and generally make a tit of himself. Brendan seems to be doing it, as ever, in his own, less conventional way.
