But I will say in his favour, had we had a fit Sturridge, we'd be top 4 IMO.
Yep, with the team as it is we wont improve. People were the same on here last season with "when we lose to x and Man Utd beat Cardiff and Sunderland....." and it was like noooo, they are ****ing crap, it's not going to happen, they arent catching us. And we are the same without Sturridge. And even by the time he's back motivation and morale may well be rock bottom anyway at this rate!

We have to do something in January or pray he stays fit and go all out for the Europa.

Well Brendan tried, and I like a trier. I've always been a fan of his since I heard his 'philosophy'. I want more of his high press, pass and move football that can blow teams away. For me the most enjoyable manager we've had since 1991.

But he has one serious flaw. Lec, Tee, etc, spotted that flaw back when we signed Allen and Borini and nearly pushed to get Ashley Williams. I dismissed it as early jitters, and further dismissed it when he insisted on Aspas and Alberto. He can't spot players for sh*t. Seems like FSG realised this and remedied it by getting those City scouts who finally pushed to bring in Sturridge (Rodgers rejected him 6 months earlier).

Now they've set up a committee but Rodgers has a strong say on that committee, as he should. I blamed the committee for our current mess but realisation has finally dawned on me that Rodgers is the only common factor in our horrendous purchasing policy over the last 3 years. All player bought during his tenure are the worst thing seen since Diao/Diouf days. Sterling, Hendo, Suaurez, Gerrard, Coutinho and Sturridge and patently not Rodgers' signings.

He made good use of those players to implement his beautiful philosophy, but when the time came to start replacing like for like we gave the keys of our Mercedes to our beloved 12 year old son. Who had previous convictions of causing death by reckless driving. Why do we always find geniuses that have such obvious and disastrous flaws? Why always us?
      One tit for another.

In 2 and a half years Brendan hasnt devised an adequate way for us to play without the ball. That is a massive issue and we are getting worse at it. Wont mention set pieces either. Isnt the answer really

Brian Clough was a genius who when he didn't have Peter Taylor around to identify a player looked out of his depth. Football is as much about spotting a player as it is improving the ones you have. Rodgers can do the latter quite well, but he and others have ****ed up signing talent.

Bottom line is, if he can't spot a player then he needs to go. Pointless otherwise.
          Forwards.......

Sackable offence in itself signing Lovren for 20 million to **** Agger off and marginalise Sakho. He's the worst centre half we've had in a long time.

I rate Klopp, I really do. But isn't he just similar to what Rodgers is doing?

Lose his best players and struggles. And Dortmund are arguably a better squad than what we have. He's lost Gotze and Lewandowski. Who else has he lost? A season a part too. Rodgers lost his strike force in one summer effectively.
Kagawa was outstanding for them, lost him & Sahin looked class for them too. Both have since come back and been ****.

They have had the most unbelievable bad luck with injuries to several top class players for long periods of time too over the last few seasons. Reus out long term with ankle ligament and now out again, Gundogan out for 13 months, Subotic cruciate ligament out plus 6 months, Hummels always injured and broke foot last year, Bender out for season pelvis, Blaszczykowski cruciate. Just reading about their injury list over the last 2 season, it is incredible. So many other injuries too.

He's got one brilliant way of playing but without top strikers it will never work. And if he and the committee between them can't identify a top striker, we'll never get anywhere.

Dortmund has been losing their best players for a while now and it's finally caught up to them. Nuri Sahin leaves in 2011, Kagawa leave in 2012, Gotze in 2013 and Lewandowski in 2014. That would be us losing Henderson, Coutinho, Sterling and Suarez in successive season. Then you throw in season ending injuries to Subotic and Gundogan.

We lose 1 player and completely **** the ****ing bed.

Well despite injuries they looked okay last year, not so now. And high amounts of injuries are rarely down to bad luck. More down to not effectively resting players. Running them into the ground. Hence why we signed a load of players this summer, try and avoid that.

You cannot say that players doing their cruciate or getting broken bones is due to not effectively resting players... ridiculous Danny. They have just been desperately unlucky with injuries to their best players... just one of those things mate.

Don't see any point in sacking him now, theres no-one worthwhile we can replace him with

Give him January to see if he can get a new keeper, replace Lovren, Allen and Balotelli.

I want to see Lallana, Can and Markovic starting every game so I think its worth giving him a couple of months to see if he plays them

Lallana, Can & Lucas should start every game.

Have never been able to defend even with top strikers mate. Had two of them last season. Let in almost 60'goals in the league.

Sorry mate, we've effectively lost two this season, one being likely the third best player in the world. And they have been able to effectively out muscle every club in Germany other than Bayern. It's like us having free reign to get anyone we choose behind Chelsea.

In our league Rodgers has United signing big players, Arsenal beating him to big players, Chelsea and City laying us to waste. The idea that Dortmund have it tougher than what we have is a joke.
