I'm not buying these "much improved" proclamations - they lost 3-0! They played with no striker, and have no option but to do that - a ****ing indictment. Lovren came back in and demonstrated again that he's clearly the worst centre back the club have had since Phil Babb (and he was on coke) and they left out Lucas, who had helped to a minor upturn in fortunes. JOE ALLEN!! He's the embodiment of the sterile, lifeless, nothingness that seems to mark out what might well be Brendan's true style and philosophy.

The whole project has regressed. Good players look clueless and confidence is being shattered - its looking more and more like a new start is needed. Where that would come from is the main concern.

Not necessarily, you also need the right players. Brendan has shown what he can do with the right players. The big question is, did he get the players he wanted ? If not, then why ?

Looks to me Brendans got the cob, for whatever reason, and is now playing politics. That in itself indicates that something is wrong, which will inevitably lead to breakdown of relations and ultimately the sack.

Must admit my patience with him is getting thinner.

My main worry if we don't sack him is spunking more money in January. I'd rather get someone new in before then, if it's on the agenda.

It's madness. It can't be possible for him to have taken us from where we were last season to what we are now unless he's doing it on purpose.

But his signings. What awful, awful ****e they are. Lovren is a total train wreck, Allen seems to contribute zero to our game, Lambert works hard and has got better but is nowhere near the level. He's bought a keeper who has no comparability with his own philosophy.

I wouldn't trust Rodgers to nip to the shop for a mix up at the minute let alone any more money for players.

Fire absolutely everyone. For those who dont get fired, punch them in the face so they know to do better.

Liverpool have won 2 of their past 10 games (in all comps). Now club's lowest points tally, after 16 games, since 1964-65.
That would have been under that **** manager Shankly.

We won the FAC that season IIRC, history is clearly going to repeat itself

Wonder if the FA would let Roy combine the managers job with his England role. Safe pair of hands and all that

The Liverpool manager said: ‘We have to recapture the team ethos. With the emphasis of the team, it is clear to me that we are searching to find solutions.

‘The players are working hard, the players have given everything, they are pressing and they are working.

‘In every dressing room there have always been been issues, but it is not something I discuss outside of the dressing room. The players are honest but we are not getting results.

Rodgers added: ‘Simon has been fine, I spoke to him after the Basle game in the Champions League and he understood it.
'Brad Jones didn’t have much to do and he’s ending up picking the ball out of the net three times.

This will be for an indefinite period. In my first year Brad did well and sometimes coming out of the firing line can help.
‘I just felt after Basle game that there was a chance to make the decision.’
