Well done Brendan. Was taking a pasting before the game (as usual), he got it right today.

I agree Slinky. His post match interview was good to listen to. Not cocky, not downbeat, but level headed and assured.

A certain someone will be along soon enough to slate him for something in it though.

All I've wanted to see is some signs of improvement, and we've had some, finally, in the last two games. Much better with the ball. Still toss at the back obviously but that will pick up a bit now Lovren is injured.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Playing Sterling through the middle and Markovic from the start was good from him.

Still badly needs to address our defending and get more game time for Sakho because he is so much better than Lovren when fit.

He's always been confident, sometimes even the way you speak can influence others and he's always maintained confidence and that's difficult to keep when things aren't going well, doesn't matter what role you're in.

He's made mistakes, he's not exempt from that and he knows that but perhaps he's showing total confidence and trust in his players and they've let him down. They didn't tonight to be fair and on Saturday bar the poor defending we at least looked a threat for the the first ****ing time this season and that's encouraging.

Like him, don't want to see him get sacked. Really hope he can turn things around.

Nailed it tonight! I was worried about the line up but shows what I know!

Was a ballsy selection with so much on the line. Should be a quiet few days on here!

At Least we are playing like a Brendan Rodgers team now. All the hallmarks tbh.

Good to watch, quick on the break, some lovely passing and **** at defending. But that's at least an improvement on what we've seen for most this season.

Get someone like Berahino in and we'd be better.

Sturridge & Sterling in a two up top would be great too if we need to change up the formation.

Him, Sterling and Sturridge up front together would be ace.

We'd have gone from the SAS to the SBS, may as well stick with what we know.

I think as soon as we get back Sturridge it'll be a 4231/433. Similar to today, but one CB out and a ST in. Coutinho maybe dropping to midfield.

If he gets a result against Arsenal on Sunday then he's bought himself some time, if not then I think he'll be under a lot of pressure. It's nice to be through to the semi-finals of the League Cup, but we need to be fighting for a top four spot again.

I think he knows that - if not he only needs to ask Kenny if a League Cup pleases FSG.
