Totally agree, those 3 would be the perfect additions and would represent a gigantic leap forward, exactly the coaches and backroom staff we should be targeting A massive statement of intent, sadly though we'll probably look to do it on the cheap

Now we're talking proper coaches. Not sure about Sami right now.

                Fricking Marsh and Pascoe.

Sami with either Pako or Melensteen would be almost perfect. Don't think we'll get both Pako and Rene.

I said it a few days ago, Sami Hyypia or Zenden (when linked) would fill the Marsh role, and Pako/whoever else, would fill the Pascoe role.

Either way, they'd both be seen as assistants and sit either side of Rodgers. The Pascoe role would have someone experienced, while the Marsh role would have someone who is still learning, but has serious credentials with the club, or coaching experience elsewhere.

WRT to the comment about Meulensteen wasn't his criticism that he should have strengthened his backroom staff? If so I think he has been proven correct.

Not sure you should have too many chiefs, that would be my worry. I'm all for some experience sitting alongside Brendan however what you don't want is people calling for the number two to take over at the first hint of trouble. I don't think the Marsh role needs to be anyone we know. I couldn't name beyond the manager and assistant at most clubs. Why are we different? First and foremost, Brendan has to be able to trust them and feel he can work with them otherwise its a completely pointless exercise.

I would go with pako and then one more. Hyypia would have our support straight away - has managed at a decent level and meulensteen is a very good technical skills coach.

Luckily with Hyypia and Meulensteen their last jobs went woefully which should stop that being a problem

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Although to be fair to Sami he has managed to do something in a top league that Brendan has yet to do and that is be the manager of a team that finished in a CL spot in back to back seasons.

Bayer came third in the Bundesliga in 2012/13 and fourth in 2013/14. Which makes Sami's sacking a little odd given the club were doing as well as could be expected in that league.

He was woeful at Brighton though.
