If you look back, Houllier was given a year too much, but the way Houllier to Rafa transition was managed was brilliant. By January, Moores and Rafa had identified one of the hottest young coach as the successor, met with him, talked to him and locked him down. When Houllier stepped down, everything was ready to go for the next season. Moores and Parry have a lot of flaws but this is a huge credit to them. Thats how big clubs operate.Originally posted by Lecter View PostI'm not sure I think the club is as bad as that post has painted
FSG should have sacked Rodgers in the summer, thats a big mistake but its not as if previous regimes havent made similar mistakes both Souness and Houllier (as the article mentions) should have been sacked earlier
I think one of the biggest things that saved Rodgers was how many managers we have had over a short space of time. In last 5 years we have had 4 managers for a club like LFC who traditionally show loyalty and patience with their managers thats a lot. That said a 3 or 4 year go at things isnt exactly showing a lack of loyalty. Especially when its 3 years and counting without a trophy
My worry is that once Brendan is fired, the process will be very similar to what we had previously - wait for Brendan to be fired, then start the process, interview 3 to 4 people in Miami or Boston, way too lackadaisical for a club like ours. Also I really cannot see managers like Klopp or Carlo or Rafa even considering us if such a system of hiring is there.

One thing I can take and it makes me feel ****ty is that losing to United was not unexpected for me, always a coin flip no matter how bad each team has been.
I can't get over the West Ham result and if we had won that game would have been sitting on ten points instead of losing to the Hammers for the first time in 40 odd years at home.
My thinking is that Brendan has lost his cajones at the most important time in his managerial career.
He has two full backs in Clyne and Moreno who love to bomb forward and overlap. Let the players express themselves again.
This man gave me some great highs when we nearly won the league but this season it is a continuous low after every game and I am bored ****less watching us with no spark except when Countinho is playing.
In five games we have not created much at all and only managed three goals when I used to think we would score that in a game couple seasons ago . Times have changed and the fans don't like it for a reason as we can not see any improvements again with all the changes that we started this season with , how many teams can continuously evolve changing 5 or 6 players in the starting 11 every year?
Benteke , Firminio , Ings , Milner , Clyne , Gomez all looked good signings to me in the summer but we can't wait around for 6 months again waiting for them all to settle otherwise 2/3 of them will be loaned out again next year

The midfield starting positions both in terms of active defense and moving the ball forward have been awful this season. We need a Sacchi-esque determination to get people close enough to one another to function as a collective.Originally posted by Rich View PostWe certainly don't press anymore and on the odd occasion that we do it'll be one player doing it, which is completely pointless."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Joking aside, whilst I do want him gone I really hope he goes before he becomes a laughing stock amongst the fans & media
I can't ever have the same vitriol that I had for The Hodge for him - but I would like to think back of him fondly for the 2012-2013 season at the very least
The job is just too big for himWhat do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins
