Personally, speaking as a fan, I'm not asking for a quick solution and/or a top 4 finish.

To be honest, I'd be happy with 5th or 6th if watching us play had any sort of redeeming quality, even from time to time. Just some sort of progress or advancement you can point your finger at and take into the next game. you could argue, start of the season, we were defending well, but it's all comparative really. It's just a relief not to see Mignolet/Skrtel/Lovren making a mistake.

At the moment, he's picking the wrong team; playing players out of position and not getting the best out of them. It's disjointed and a pain to watch. Unfortunately, as a result of this, it's lead me to despise anything he has to say and I'm not sure if it's just vitriol from my own brain or if others feel the same way too.

I like to think of myself as a good, fair person in fact, I've always been told I'm too nice (people walk all over you etc.) so for me to feel this way about the manager means there's something inherently wrong

Yeah I can't watch his interviews anymore, it's just too frustrating. IMO we have a decent squad and the players we have are so much better than what they are showing. A managers job is to get the best out of the players under him.... Rodgers is certainly not doing that. Actually not only is he not doing that, he is also making life more difficult the certain players/ new players by playing them in positions that they can't play or are not used to.

There are just too many people saying "what is he doing!?" every week to ignore. There is talent and ability in that squad, if he would just play them the right way! It really seems like he's thinking "I'll show them it'll work", and is making the same mistakes over and over again. I don't think i've ever seen such a disjointed and unbalanced Liverpool side, even under Hodgson. Every football fan can spot this a mile away, so why can't Brendan?

He may very well change the formation and god forbid stick 2 up top & just might get a few wins over the next few weeks, but that will make people think "Why did he not do that in the first place Or change things earlier?" There is something fundamentally wrong with the way he sets us up Or doesn't set us up for that matter. Whether it is down to pure stubbornness about making things work his way or just not knowing what do to ... I'm not sure.. IMO we'll get a few wins, draws and losses over the next few months if he is in charge & we'll end up in 6th or 7th and he'll get the sacked. For me, that is not good enough. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for him to turn it around but I just don't think he's the man for the job.

i dont think that there is much wrong with most of the players.
some are suspect at best, need selling.
most would do much better if they were being played to the best of their abilities and the coaching improved.
it seems like they have lost any self belief, like strangers.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Yep agree with all of that

The acid test is watching a game with someone who's not really knowledgeable about football. Detached, in a sense. They'd tell you within 5 minutes that we're a poor side.

yup it's very obvious that there is something wrong about our current set up. Pundits have been saying the same things as we have... which are.

              1) Why is he not playing two up top?
              2) Why is he persisting with 4-3-3 when we don't have the players to do so?
              3) What was our transfer strategy?
              4) We are too narrow
              5) Why don't we press in midfield
              6) The midfield are too soft and lethargic, no balance
              7) What is going on with Sakho?
              8) How is the scout that spotted Dejan Lovren still earning a living?

Play crap and go a goal or two behind in one of our next home games like we did against West Ham and I wouldn't be surprised to hear chants of "Jurgen Klopp, Jurgen Klopp" ring out from the Kop.

Not defending it if it does happen but Rodgers isn't too far away from becoming a hate figure among most Liverpool fans right now imo.

How is the manager that persists with Lovren still in a job?
How can a manager that has presided over a 6-1 defeat to STOKE still in a job?
How can a manager who continues to get anaemic, gutless displays (for more than a calendar year) keep his job?!?!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!

This. It's been so long, the question marks aren't new, far from it. Some say we'd have to write off the season if we get a new manager in, but I say we have to do it anyway.

He'll waste more than that on gash players we loan out after 6 months- and we'll certainly lose more in lost revenue from our final league position

Those players can't all be rubbish, I refuse to believe that.

Markovic looked poor. Felt sorry for him.
                            Firmino has looked perplexed
                            Can is a lost soul
Henderson was resurrected after being shunted everywhere and played himself back into form through force of will (but still looks off it when he's played in unfamiliar roles)
                            Sterling looked depressed last season
Ibe looks stifled and worried when he starts
Lallana looks a dead loss with no set agenda of where he should play to the best of his abilities
Lucas goes from being a great addition to the team to being a dopey footballer who can't even pass
Benteke might as well be Balotelli for all the help he gets from midfield
Milner Milner Milner, Milner, Milner Milner Milner... Milner, Milner Milner!

There are too many bad performers for them all to be bad players! There has to be an underlying common fault there that is causing the problem!

Yep, surely all of us here on EST can come up with a few idea's as to what this problem is.

I blame the fixture list and Brendan not having enough time with the players on the training field.
