It's been explained countless times by those of us who aren't sure about FSG, although the appointment of Klopp would go a long way to counteract concerns.Originally posted by Darkon View PostI think FSG have shown a lot of ambition since coming here, although it hasn't worked out except a trophy and another final under Kenny and the title run (which is decent looking at where we came from!!)
Actually doing stadium work, changing managers 3 times and spending a fair sum on players including the top 5 most expensive transfers in our history and 7 out of the top 10. I still don't quite get why so many make out FSG to be poor owners or unambitious for that matter!
Having faith in a manager longer than parts of the fan group doesn't really say unambitious put rather patience.
Also, how come every mod on here rate FSG really highly?

I was partly yeah, but also in general to what's been said by others.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostIn case you are basing this on my comment, I'm just stating that appointing Klopp is ambition on another level.
On another level how? Not sure I understand why appointing Klopp is so much more ambitious than everything else they've done?
I mean Klopp is still a bigger risk than many other more proven managers out there, but it's defo an interesting appointment - even if it without a doubt means a new plan of recombobulating!

On the second point - because we're clearly the most rational and level-headed here

FWIW I rate FSG as good owners because of the reasons Darkon states. Also because the negatives are something thats based on opinion rather than actual evidence in my mind.Originally posted by Phoenix07 View PostIt's been explained countless times by those of us who aren't sure about FSG, although the appointment of Klopp would go a long way to counteract concerns.

They dont skim money, the dont saddle the club with debt, they reinvest the money we make on transfers.
They have gotten plenty wrong, but for all the mistakes they make they do seem to learn from them IMO. Their biggest being not replacing Suarez with a similar caliber player, but at the time lots could see the logic in their plan. Its just the execution leaved lots to be desired.
Bringing it back to Rodgers. Clearly it was a mistake to let him go on past the summer, but that's been rectified now and the new manager will have a very good premier league squad. They just need to maximise it in order to get into a good position. (I refuse to say 'Get into the top 4' as that shows zero ambition IMO)*Except Michael, who died.

I haven't watched a second of it, other than the brief moments its been advertised. Thought it would be like scratching nails on a blackboardOriginally posted by TheElephantMan View PostIt was a bad decision to make that programme, my impression of Rodgers was that he was a complete buffoon and that stuck for me.
Perhaps that's what it is? Perhaps those of us that didn't find Rodgers repulsive didn't watch it?
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

hahaha that's so Partridge-esque it's unreal. Bless him.
I have to say, I'm really liking FSG and the way they've gone about this. They've kept quiet but it seems in the background, they too have been hurt and saddened by the direction this club was going. I've also thought they might have lacked ambition but the last few days have shown clearly not.
Also, they've been criticised for not being footballing men, but, if it's true that they decided to sack Rodgers after 3-0 defeat to West Ham. then it shows that they have a cute awareness of how the game works. That defeat was also the final straw for me. You can't lose like that at home. Fair play, they also beat Arsenal and Man City away but it was the manner and also compounded by the fact that our best player and asset was sent off, mainly due to frustration.
So again, I think they have some sort of astute knowledge of how the game works in that they made that decision knowing he wouldn't turn things around.

I am glad Brendan has gone and looks like we are getting Klopp the madman to unite the club again , should be great fun watching us and him.
But Brendan nearly winning the league by playing Suarez , Sturridge , Sterling ,Coutinho and Gerrard in the same team was Ballsy as **** and also brilliant to follow.
I think we beat teams 6-3 and 5-2 if I remember correctly , even if the other teams scored first I knew we were going to outscore them.
Brilliant season and gung ho tactics nearly won us the league , even though we all wished he would of just bored a draw against Chelsea

Added to how unexpected it all was, best time to be a supporter in recent times. By far. Loved it.Originally posted by gratziani View PostI think we beat teams 6-3 and 5-2 if I remember correctly , even if the other teams scored first I knew we were going to outscore them.
Glad he's gone, but will keep a soft spot for him.

Why people feel the need to turn into arseholes once they want a manager gone is beyond me, all he ever did was try his best to get us what we all wanted, it did not work out, how about a thank you and You will never walk alone ..... We need more YNWA in our club again
Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015
